Not because its about Her so much but because it actually is a good movie. She had a very interesting life.

Although she longed to be an actress, an unassuming girl from Nashville, Tenn., would ultimately become the nation's first bona fide bondage queen. Provocative filmmaker Mary Harron delivers an intimate biopic about 1950s pinup girl Bettie Page (Gretchen Mol), who whetted many a male appetite with her raven locks and sadomasochistic poses before becoming the target of a U.S. Senate investigation and converting to Christianity.

Starring: Gretchen Mol, Lili Taylor ...

Director: Mary Harron

I saw it, and it was a wonderful movie.

I never would have thought she had that modest attitude and sort of innocense about her.....

I felt kinda bad after. I thought she was just this wild child.....but given the fact she was molested, beaten, and raped by men...and in her time that was 'ok' and there was no one to help her, not many job opporotunities for women...

I felt I judged her too harshly until I saw the truth.

And she did have a teaching degree but was too hot to be a teacher...saying she couldn't control the boys that kept hitting on her!!!

We watched about 3/4 of it... I enjoyed it a lot. You expected this hard-edged, bad girl character but she had this real sweetness, almost naivete to her even after years of pervy posing. We'll have to rent it again so I can see the end. Very entertaining altho the plotline was a bit thin & got kind of repetitious... and I wish they'd done more with Bunny Yeager who is a fascinating person in her own right.

i watched an interview with her once. she actually didn't want to be shown though so they had her sitting in a dim room, not showing her face. i can't remember what show it was or when? it was awhile back. looking for it now i came across this photo of her:

Awww, she doesn't look bad at all! I remember her being quoted as saying she remained in seclusion because she didn't want to disappoint her fans.

ISTR she was 80 in that picture... I think she looks pretty damn good! She certainly looks a helluva lot better than Hugh Hefner... he looks like a fuckin' pervy old mummy or something.
