Show At The Lab Saturday May 19th

I have been wanting to throw a party for a few years now... So a friend and I are renting out the Lab!

Saturday May 19th. 18 and over. doors at 10pm-4:30 am (or later).

Address: 1701 Cass ave, Detroit, Cover $5 until midnight, $7 after midnight

We have 4 DJs that will be playing a wide variety of "Techno" including Robert Lowell (resident at the Works),

Codeslngr, and DJ X.M.S (flying in from Las Vegas just for this show).

We will be partying until 4:30am (or later if enough people are having a good time and buying water, redbull, etc from the bar) so come on out after the Joey Ramone party (and bring anyone you want)

Is the Lab still open? I was able to check it out a few years back when I made it up to Detroit, but last I heard, it was supposed to be closing. What's up with it?

Lab isn't open at the moment, just for events and some concerts but there is no "weekly" night to speak of that ANYTHING happens on (goth/industrial or otherwise), at least as far as I know. Last thing was Noctronica with Arcsine and Pretti (whatever her DJ name was, I forgot) and that ended... two years ago now? They still need to update the website www.labyrinthdetroit.net

Scary guy is correct that the Lab does not have any dedicated nights... We had to rent it out for this event... so come on down and have a good time and maybe we can do it again.

the 'atmosphere" is actually better now... though the people I liked are long gone. Its weird seen a new batch of "the incrowd" replacing the people who replaced the in crowd who was there when i started going ...

Thanks for the invite....I had to leave early as I was too plastered and needed to sober up a bit. But very good music. Not enough of that in this town. Let us know when your doing it again.

First off I would like to thank everyone who came out!

Thanks to homocidalheathen for the plug on the music <smile> I was blown away by some of the mixes. Codeslngr did a remix of Eddie Murphy's party all the time (remember that one?) that was way cool! I could not believe that it was actually eddie murphy singing. THen about 10 minutes later out came a totally banging hard house remix of Smells Like Teen spirit! I was totally shocked... sure I knew he had some surprises instore but I was definately impressed with the music. All three of our DJs were really good and the music selection was incredible. The real fun started when other DJs in attendence started taking turns with records they brought as well (I think we ended up with 4 extra DJs who were not on the bill all spinning their favorite songs. The entire night was one great song after another. My only complaint was getting such a huge hangover (I think I drank way too many of my free drink tickets).

Finally,

Our turn out was good enough that we can do it again. We will be taking the place over again on JUNE 30TH
