What Dreams May Come

This movie got me thinking - the characters created their own Heaven and Hell after they died.

(not totally serious here - just looking for lighthearted responses right now)

I was thinking of the most fun I've had over the last few years and the two events that stand out were Disneyworld and when I saw the Cruxshadows.

My heaven -- all the men would be either shaved totally baldheaded or have long luxurious hair. Black eyeliner would be mandatory. Looong Cruxshadows concert every Friday with EgoLikeness and several other fun groups, everyone dressed in lovely gothy clothes in black, deep purple and red red red.

I could eat whatever I wanted and always stay nice and trim. Disneyland several days a week. (awww, shut up. It was fun and this is my damn heaven, so there).

I'd become a trillionaire and buy that castle building, buy out City and move the club over there. Eh, they say money can't buy happiness but being poor can sure buy a lot of misery, heh. Money can do a hell of a lot of good.

There would be free parking in a guarded fenced lot. The Crow would fly all around Detroit, squeezing all the heroin out of addict's veins, curing them and making them take care of their kids, dammit.

ack - I need more coffee, can't think of more right now. I've been sitting home too much lately, need to get out and see some folk.

So what would be your Heaven?

In a way, we really do create our own Hells and Heavens right here on earth, with our own choices. I'm realizing a lot of what I have wanted is really within my reach. A lot of the hellish times I've had are from my own choices and because I let circumstances get the better of me. I just have to get off my ass, work for it and and be persistent.

My heaven (prepare to gag):

My man and I would live together in perfect harmony with 2 wonderful children (a girl and a boy). We would never argue and would always get along. We would have all the money we ever needed so we would never go without the things we wanted/needed.

I would be my idea of what beautiful is, and nothing would change it. I could eat whatever I wanted and never have to exercise, and I wouldn't have health problems. My mind would be stable.

I would live in a huge home with all types of animals that were rescued from harm, and were well taken care of. My own private zoo, basically.

If there was a band I really wanted to see in concert, I could just call them up and they would play in my private auditorium.

My hair would grow as fast or as slow as I wanted it to, so I could change it at will. Today, I want to be bald. Tomorrow, I want hair down to my knees.

I would have my own Olympic sized pool, a sauna, and a hot tub. I would have my own personal tanning bed, and would not get wrinkles or cancer from using it daily.

There would be a real life ignore function for people I don't like. I could push a button or something and I wouldn't see/hear them.

I could read minds - but I could turn it on or off, so I wasn't always hearing other people's thoughts. I could also choose who's mind I wanted to read.

It would be exactly as I have seen in dreams or vision.

Summer land, typical druid reincarnation dream. A holding place of light. Everyone is a light body. We just sit on a knoll and meditate all day. No need or want for anything. You don't even actually breathe or need to eat or sleep. You are light. You can feel everyone else' essence around you. Your telepathic with those sitting nearest you and 'god'. God is a sun, we are behind our sun but there is a other sun that is energy and light....it is very bright and close and big and does not move across the sky.

You feel that everyone is the most special to 'god' but that we are all the most special in our unique energy pattern and that is the most beautiful thing. Seeing the beauty in others but feeling your the best....and yet we all are. There is no more need for ego thus.

And your totally satisified in this.

Then there was the vision of Satan in the sun. (no I am not a satan worshiper per se')

After fasting and doing um things for a few days, sleep and water deprivation and meditating in the sun all day in Pheonix...hell its so f*cking hot there just that will make ya see things...lol.....

I looked at the sun as it was setting for a long time. It changed, I saw 'god' in the sun.....again everything was bright....and made of energy but the guardian of all was a huge humaniod beast with hooves horns.

Everyone....of every age....related or not....is participating in an orgy.....even with animals. (gross huh?) I was appauled at first. The sex, although physical is more of a tantric nature.....energy is passed. There is no 'right' or 'wrong' and those ideas go by the wayside. It is a huge party all the time with something like opium being smoked in huge hooka's.

Thus my baphomet and Cerrnanous and Shiva worship now.

My heaven would be hell, the hell for the common man anyway. Fire and brimstone with my office dead center. Lots of gothic architecture and stained glass, something like Diablo's lair from Diablo II, mixed with the Arcane Sanctuary from the same game. Cobblebone (yes I just made that up) streets with blacktop filling the cracks.

My hell would be drowning for eternity in extremely cold water or being non corporeal. My hell will be nonexistence.

heaven would be like a holodeck. not so much a place of infinite pleasure, but a cocktail party where everyone hangs out until someone has a cool idea for what to do next. possible activities would include any of the fantasies you guys just described.

however, how long could you really enjoy most of those things, knowing they were a product of your own imagination? i'd get particularly tired of the reactions of other people that i engineered in my mind. dreaming is nice, but it's like brain masturbation and an eternity of that would be SO boring.

so i bet heaven's chief recreation would be reincarnation. not one soul to one soul to one soul, like, "i used to be napoleon in a past life," but a bunch of guys drunk on the nectar of the gods get together and say, "hey man, wouldn't it be funny if this asshole here had a son, and he was like mentally retarded, and then we made the dad president and made the family all conniving and backwards so the retarded son became president of this one superpower country? it'd be like all kinds of crazy adventures! hey! phil, matt, rodney? while we're doing that guy, you could be this KRAZY muslim guy and wrap some towel around your head and blow our shit up! yeah!"

So YES. I find it most appealing to believe that we are the dreams of the gods made flesh, and the gods themselves. when you're looking at an eternity of entertainment and pleasure, you'd probably want to throw in some curveballs to make it interesting.

My perfect world.

In my world he is my King. I am his Queen. Our castle is merely a small Cabin, set back in the woods, but near the outskirts to be able to enjoy city life as well. We have a Fireplace, modest furnishings and a small garage that was made into a work place for him. We have 2 motorcycles, and often go riding on the country side just to enjoy the freedom of the open road. He is my master but he is never overbearing and or loud. Lives his life to serve me and in return I submit myself to him heart and soul. We seek spiritual things together. We have 3 kids..... A Labrador, and 1 cat....hes pretty stuffy too...damn cat! He works to take care of his family. This is is soul purpose. He is sweet, charming, funny, smart, witty and very very raw in the most primal sense! We enjoy the simple life. Our favorite thing to do is walk in the woods together talking about everything and anything we want. We often stop for a smoke break, and then move on to other parts. Our favorite vacation spot is deep in the forests. We often camp in the harshest of conditions to make us remember how spoiled we are. To make us come back down to earth and truley appreciate all of the modern technologies we have. This gives us peace. He never forgets to let me know he cares. He keeps the magic alive. He wants to be with me because we enjoy the same things. He's sings, he plays guitar, he loves children, he loves adventure and believes life. He is alive in every way. We often visit Michigan cause it is our favorite place to go.... MOTOWN Baby! We love the same music and thrive on seeing live bands. He loves my family, and enjoys thier company as crazy and disfunctional as they are. We often stop to visit his family, who has welcomed me in as thier own. He fits in anywhere with his personality and charm. He's a man man, and has a sensitive and very delicate side. Almost vulnerable. But never lets his guard down.... He knows what he wants and never strays from himself. I love him Heart and Soul.

A city completely covered in graffiti, from the sidewalks to the top of the buildings; the crow is out of luck, because it never rains here. The streets are all smooth and filled with pools, ramps, half-pipes, rails, steps, and banks. The buildings are Q-Zar or some sort of virtual reality battlegrounds, with blaring metal and blues guitar, fps maps being mimicked as real places inside one of them. The people inside the city are all intelligent, friendly, and a little insane (necessary for the size of some of the ramps, pools, and rails); you respawn after you die, Money isn't an issue, and there are lots of vehicles that can be rented for free, such as the Tumbler (batman begins), Ghosts/Banshees (Halo 2), and Mantas/Scorpions/Leviathans (UT04), Speeder Bikes, ect. All of the main characters from FF7 and ToS are real. Outside of the city, arrest of the world is similar to Conan books, with some darker Gothic and Victorian architecture thrown in; some continent has to be ruled by Bruce Campbell.

So basically its mostly danger, adrenaline, and video game cameos. But I like SG's too because I'm also a Diablo fan.

i mean, when you say you want heaven to be "perfect," that pretty much means it'll be without the real input of anybody but you, because everyone has a different fantasy. that would be so boring to just have whatever i wanted and to know that every social experience was the product of my own wishes. i don't WANT every guy to say and do exactly what I want him to say or do all the time. it would be like masturbation, again.
