Fla Aftermath

I had a great time. Acumen Nation blew, they were more worried about the Pistons beating the crap out of the Bulls being that they are from Chicago. The Start sounded like bad Hanzel und Gretyl. FLA was without Rhys again but still put on a great show. They played a lot of their older stuff to include Biomechanic and Gun. They also played Internal Combustion which Bill said they had never played before.

oooooooooo......how fun! Front Line Assembly was pretty rad!! Kinda new to me, that style of music, but it was really really cool! Very upbeat, kinda chunky....stompy? Yeah...Stompy. Thats a good way to describe it. Anyways, I was rather impressed..... The crowd was so fun to watch!! I love all the young and beautiful and fashionable gothy sterotypes! They're so cute!! heh heh.... So, Donnie was my concert buddy....thank you Don for getting me out to a really fun show!! Had the pleasure of meeting YOUR Brother Phee!! Hi Phee! And a whathisface guy who's name I don't remember but I wasn't suppose to remember him anyways......?? Donnie broke my Techno Cherry so he says.....AND my Irish Whiskey virginity as well.....what was the name of that whiskey again? SO, we got right up to the stage......and my knee's are ALL black and blue from bruises from being danced into the edge of the stage! Owch... I managed to sneak some boot-leg footage of the show if anyone knows how to load that stuff up.....

Well, thanks again Donnie!! I had a blast!

Agreed.

Tactical rectal rubdown (Tactical Neural Implant) is their best album IMO. They played more songs off that one that any other last night.

Had a lot of fun last night. Rode out to the show w/ Carla and had a great time. Wasn't that impressed with Acumen Nation, beyond calling their cover of "Bela Lugosi's Dead" which I thought was hysterical. The 2nd band (that I can't remember at the moment) seemed very out of place. I have to agree with Mark Wiseman's comment of "They're not that bad and I wouldn't mind seeing them at a rock show, but not opening for Frontline".

FLA themselves put on a great show. Following up what Odims said, a fair amount from Tactical Neural Implant was played, which I didn't mind. Throughout the show, Uncle Bill kept asking "Do you know this one? Recognize this?" and went through some of their older stuff. Had a blast with Biomechanic and Internal Combustion. Jumped into the quasi-pit for Plasticity (most sedate pit ever!). They closed out the night with Mindphaser as final encore song.

Seemed like Uncle Bill was a little put out at first at the venue and the size of the crowd (I estimate ~125 people, 150 tops) but rallied to it. Most of the crowd that was there for FLA seemed to be into the show, minus the standard percentage of people that were at the show to be seen more than anything else.

Most commonly used quote of the night - "Where's Phee?"
