Dark Matter Stars

Recommended Posts

UniverseToday reports new research which suggests dark matter could have condensed to form 'dark stars' in the early universe. These stars would have been very massive and burned very slowly, fueled by non-fusion reactions, they could still be with us. Astronomers hope to better constrain theories of early galaxy and star formation with observations of gravitational lensing events caused by these ghosts of the primordial universe.

That would be so goth "yeah our sun gives off heat but no light"

That sounds like paradise to me.

Instead of burning with hydrogen fusion, these “dark stars” were heated by the annihilation of dark matter.

Goth stars lol

We will now have a zillion goths claiming that they started the trend of stars going goth with dark matter, and talking about how they were doing it back when blackholes were concidered goth, and how this new dark matter star thing is just a label and a phase and how the stars are just going to go back to being mainstream red giants, or white dwarves again, and that they are just doing it now to get attention from there intergalactic peers and parents.
