odims_sphere Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 It is fun, but a pain in the ass with a laptop, it's gotta be easier with a mouse.
phee Posted May 24, 2007 Author Posted May 24, 2007 It is fun, but a pain in the ass with a laptop, it's gotta be easier with a mouse. I am fighting giants and stuff in it now
odims_sphere Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 I can't get past level 6 using this stupid touch pad.
Dubh Aingeal Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 It is fun, but a pain in the ass with a laptop, it's gotta be easier with a mouse. Solves all mouse issues regardless of your system being desktop or laptop.
odims_sphere Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Yay! I have a cordless little laptop mouse! yeah, I'm home now, and I have one too, it's much easier
Rayne Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Yay! I have a cordless little laptop mouse! Grrr ... my cordless mouse is an HP, my laptop's a Mac ... doesn't work as good as it did with the Toshiba laptop, it kept dropping guys before I dropped them and wouldn't let me pick up someone if another was falling out of the air.
Scary Guy Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Solves all mouse issues regardless of your system being desktop or laptop. Trackballs are not better than mice. Especially if you're not used to using one there is a bit of a learning curve.

Only learning curve that I had was using my thumb to move the mouse rather than the whole unit. Which took a whole 10 minutes to learn.

Yes but when did you get better at using it than when you use the mouse? That's the curve I'm talking about. I've been using a mouse for the better part of ten years and now I've got scalpel like precision with it. It's just like switching to a Dvorak keyboard from a QWERTY layout. http://www.dvorak-keyboards.com It might take a while but you'd be more proficient at it eventually too. Touch-pads > button mice though as far as laptops go for sure. Point still stands though, there are no advantages to using a trackball over a mouse. It's just a mater of user preference.
