See strange things on the road?

Today this old guy.....I am talking at least 75.....(is it social security check day? Cause I hear its every other 2nd Thursday of the month.....then look out! They get out to buy cat food or meds.)...goes across 8 lanes of traffic on Gratiot. Thats 4 lanes on each side of the road. AGAINST a red light! We are like barreling down on him at 50 miles an hour! Cars swerving left and right trying to miss him.....

And he is SMILING!!! Just as clueless as can be......just keeps going and barely missed getting hit......doesn't even look to see where he is going!

I see this at least once a year as I live off Gratiot. I hate driving on Gratiot.

Once I saw a guy pass out at the wheel and do this....prob a diabetic or something.....but this guy was beyond conscious. And I don't think it was attempted suicide.

OMG that's why I don't have a car anymore lol. With the baby boomer generation on the brink of retirement, it will surely mean genocide for my generation, death by car. It reminds me (if you watch this sort of thing) of this episode of South Park called "Grey Dawn" where nearly the entire town was wrecked by old people driving because they had a senior meeting at the local elementary, meaning all the old people were in one building at the same time and they all LEFT at the same time, causing mass destruction and casualties. It was, needless to say, one of the most hilarous episodes EVER. I've almost gotten clobbered by old people a few times, both in a car and on foot, old people and asians.

I think there should be a national law stating that once you reach a certain age like 70 for example, you should have to take a mandatory driver's license re-test.

Some of these old geezers like that guy, shouldnt be on the road.

They are just as dangerous as drunk drivers almost.

If they can't see well enough, and they can't hear well enough to drive safely, then their license should be revoked.

some of them cannot even see over the steering wheel, much less the hood of the car, so therin lies another danger to the rest of us.

I see alot of old people driving really shity everywhere,their eyes are probably full of cateracts,and also full of heart health conditions,but yeah Michigan will give anyone a license,even some old mostly blind person,anything to make money.

My grandpa volunteraly gave up his license on his own,because he new he had trouble seeing,and other health issues.
