Yes! U.s. Based Customer Service

I wish Cox cable were available here. I always try to choose companies who don't outsource customer service and tech support.

"In the scramble for every customer, one cable outfit seems to have hit upon a formula that works: beating the phone companies at customer service.

What is Cox's advantage? It uses one customer-care provider, with U.S.-based centers. Rather than pushing agents to hurry customers off the phone and causing multiple call-backs, Cox strives to handle issues in a single call and grades reps on how well they eliminate problems. To avoid confusion, field technicians tap into the same system used by call-center reps. Cox has even started a "geek squad" to help customers with tech issues, whether they involve its gear or not."

(I certainly wouldn't want to be on *that* geek squad, but damn, they are bending over backwards to keep people happy). I hope they encompass my area soon, and my guess is they will be expanding if they continue their business plan. I'll leave Charter in a heartbeat. I may buy myself a bit of Cox stock.

that is pretty awsome actually. Not only that I'd like to see them give comcast a run for their money. Comcast tents to overcharge everything... and their tech and customer support is crap.

I like Wide Open West, and when I called (those two times) I got some helper monkey in the south.

I hate to burst the Cox bubble, but Cox was all they had in RI and the monopoly they created created many problems there. I'd say they are on par with Comcast servicewise and many people complain about Comcast. However, Cox might do well here since they'd not be the monopoly they were in RI...so, perhaps their service would be better.

I can't say I had a really bad experience with them, but the prices are not good. At least if they came to the area there'd be more competition and sometimes that leads to better service alone. Who knows...

As far as internet and phone, I like Speakeasy, but they aren't cheap, but at least you get what you pay for and seriously when there's a problem you're on the phone for 5-10 minutes max and it's 100% fixed.

As for TV, we have sattelite. I did have Cox for my cable TV, phone and internet at one point when I lived in RI. I will say that the speed of Cox's cable service IS faster than DSL here, BUT (and that's a big but) if you have a problem with your modem or an internet issue, it can take 30 minutes for them to transfer you 5 times just to set it straight.

All these opinions are simply based on my own personal experience. Opinions may vary. hehehe
