Troy has said that he has reason to suspect Google will have a manual inspection of the board, and so does not want to risk having DGN listed as an "adult site", in which case our seach engine visibility will go down.

Not everyone here is 18 years old. Who could possibly have time to sort out every DGN member who is not 18 as of yet and then put together a list of those who are. Want that job?

All it takes is a quick PM to me or any of the other moderators and there you go.

It's better than having DGN disappear from the search engines. That happened to an "adult" BDSM group I used to frequent and with no new members and people forgetting about it, it has little to no activity now. Yahoo decided around 2 years ago to hide them all from search engines and most of them are dead. Being visible in search engines is quite important these days.

I think it's completly understandable. I wouldn't tell you guys it would be a bad idea to keep it password protected, really...Who knows when you'll get surprise visits, you know?

It's not that hard to get the password. Not much effort is involved with sending a message asking for it...

Wonder if someone could find a plugin to do the age verification check (like they'd enter in their real age anyhow though).
