Thanks everyone for all your advice on getting a cat. I'm supposed to go in tomorrow and pick up my new pet from the local Lansing area humane society. I spent a long time debating and looking into this idea and have finally decided that I really want a cat.

I'd like to especially thank Fierce Critter for all her information she posted on the old forum. It gave me good insight into what its going to take from me to properly care for my new friend. As soon as I get him, ill get some pictures up in my gallery so you all can meet him.

Good for you! I love my kitty companion. She always loves me, sits by me when I'm sad, romps around and amuses me... she's cute, cuddly, and dosn't get (too) pissed when I go out for the weekend. Cats are wonderful little creatures!

Introducing Anubarack!! I finally got him on Friday and have been getting used to my new friend. He's a white/brown tabby that’s a bit over a year old. I got him from the Capital area humane society. He came declawed and all ready for a new home. I am posting pictures in my gallery if anyone wants to meet him. I'm having a ball with him; I haven’t smiled this much in ages!
