phee Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 We have had the "bands that are underated thread" before... but I think it's time to ressurect the idea in a brand new thread. Godflesh - Barely anyone has heard of this band in "the scene" and they are some of the darkest, most influencial, pounding, industrial ever... If anyone out their listens to Ministry, Fear Factory, or Unit 187 and have not heard of this band SHAME ON YOU! Dance or Die - The perfect combination of Industrial Dance and Gothic music. Combining amazing dance beats and programing and gothic vocals... why don't more people listen to this band??? That is what I am starting with for now
odims_sphere Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 I want to say Kraftwerk. I know a lot of people do listen to them, but in my opinion it's not enough. If you like any type of electronic music, to include hip hop, rap, pop..etc you should listen to Kraftwerk. They are without a doubt one of the most innovative and influential bands ever to exist. Prolly one of the most sampled as well.
Homicidalheathen Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Classical. Especially if you write. It helps.
sass_in_the_pants Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Tom Waits. Okay, he's not goth, but he's kind of depresing and that's close. And Muddy Waters.

Troy Spiral (13) Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 People in General i'd list off virtually every "scene" band in existance and a long list of proto-goth stuff. But "people on this site" hrmm... Simon & Garfunkel Frank Sinatra Tony Bennet Johnny Cash Melanie CCR Neil Diamond Tom Waits Bob Dylan Beethoven The Four Tops Pete Seeger Shit i better stop now before i incriminate myself any further.
