Tell Me What You Would Think...

ok, so here's the trouble:

a co-worker of mine has up-and-left. he gave no warning to anyone, didn't tell anyone where he was going, and gave no indication on where he was headed, or if he was returning. he's been MIA for about a week.

this guy has a fience that didn't know he was leaving.

here's what we found out though; a few years ago, said person sent his step-dad to jail for abusing his mom. now, his step-dad was recently released from jail, and from what was confirmed, has threatened said person that once he was released, he'd go after said person, and end his living exsistance.

that's about all the detail that we have. from the sounds of it, it seems that he's gone into hiding to not only protect himself, but to protect everyone else around him. the less that everyone knows, the least likely we'll all be able to find him, especially his step-dad.

am i reading this right?

i guess my question to you is, what would you do if you were in a situation like this? would you tell people? or would you up-and-leave? :803530406161:

I'd file a police report for being threatened by someone on probation.

Didn't think of that... Good answer. Might not keep him locked up, though, especially if there's no evidence.

I'd kill the bastard before he could kill me.

are you certain the guy just "up and left" or did something happen to him??

I was actually in something of a situation like this, once upon a time. It's not a time that I enjoy remembering, so I am keeping details intentionally sparse.

I actually filed the police report and then skipped town for a week.

I would make a call to the cops. Not sure if I would call the one's where he works or lives though....not sure how that works.

either way, he's completely MIA... :no no one in the Metro-Detroit area knows where he is..

There really isnt much you can do outside of a missing persons report.

A missing person's report is a good idea.

well, according to rumor (set in motion by said person) he's suppose to be back tomorrow.... *shrugs* he's not missing, per-se, he just up and left without any notice... the question remains "will he be back?"
