Over all I would say its a good movie. Good effects, but beyond that I will let others (with more story line knowledge) comment.

Next to Ghost Rider, Silver Surfer is my favorite super hero... I don't know how they can do this story without Galacticus so, unless the movie has a 40 story man in pink, purple and blue armor... I'm going to be very unhappy.

I am going to someday buy this movie just so that I can rip it, run it through Video Toaster (or some equivalent) and superimpose that hideous hat over every shot of the movie's Galactus "death cloud."

Sorry to spoil the movie, but Galactus in the Silver Surfer movie is a huge world eating cloud. No giant. No crazy armor. And totally, absolutely not terrible, hideous, omg-what-is-that-thing headwear.

I went to see it last night, knowing full well it was going to be bad.

although the silver surfer sounds rather lamer than most super heros to me (seriously, i don't think they would have space traveling surf boards anywhere in the universe) I'll still go see the movie at some time when I can. I thought the same for Daredevil, a blind lawyer being a bad ass superhero yet... the movie was good so... who knows. Alot of people told me that Donnie Darko sucked too, yet that's my favorite movie, so it's all up to the individual. I will say the trailer did make it look rather decent... yet we all know how misleading advertising can be.

Sorry for threadjack but people saying it sucked didn't understand the plot, which is part of how it was supposed to be. Donnie Darko was awesome. I never thought I'd get a chance to see a dark movie based around existentialism, time travel, and bashed the school systems (which is something that needs to be done a lot more in my opinion).

I don't know, I am like Know, where I enjoy most movies others don't like. I rather liked Silver Surfer. I even paid for the upper level seating and was the only one whom did so lol. Its worth it for $7 extra bux which includes a medium size popcorn and you can have drinks up there.
