New Job For Jon

It's not for sure yet, but it looks like Jon's going to be offered a job at a competing door company.

The one he's currently working for is floundering. And a lot of people have quit. A couple of them went to this particular company Jon is interested in.

They've been spreading Jon's name around. And it looks like he's going to get called next week for an interview.

If this comes through, he'll be getting a salary hike of appx. $6.00, putting him in the low $20's (per hour). Plus better health benefits, plus dental coverage, plus vision coverage. Not to mention lots of OT.

We're not counting our chickens. But things look pretty good.

If this comes through, we will finally be able to move out of the "near poor" income bracket into a comfortable middle-class lifestyle.

Not to mention, we have something like 3 car payments left, so we'll have a major bill off our backs.

I really hope this comes through for him. The money is a good thing, but at this job, he'll have more prestige and respect. That's what I've always hoped for him - a real career he can be comfortable, stable, & proud of.
