Hostel, Part Ii

I went to see this the friday it came out. I was a little nervous at first, considering how much the first one freaked me out.

But, I must say, it was pretty fucking great. They started out along the same lines as the first, using shock value, but then it became this interesting mix of hilarious and frightening. I only had to close my eyes twice. They showed different aspects of the group running the "killing club," taking you deeper into what went on behind the scenes. I thought it was a great departure from what the first movie covered.

Plus, the script was very anti-man, which was really quit enjoyable, considering how many women were killed throughout the two movies.

It had cheek, I approve.

It was ok, really was way to predictable, but I am happy that they started it where it ended in part one....won't revealy any spoilers, but it was mediocre at best.....there was a total of like 3 couples in the theatre sides brooke and I.

It's funny cause they advertise renting out the whole theatre for parties and gathering....funny cause we basicly had it to ourselves for under 20 bucks :)

I can't argue that it wasn't predictable, that's for certain, but considering that you already know the pattern based on the first movie, they would have had to make a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT film to get away from the hostel story, which would have destroyed the whole point of having a sequel.

Hostel series is wayyyy over-rated. All those frat boys and hoochies annoyed the living the living piss out of me. The torture scenes werent that special either. The only highlight was seeing Takashi Miike.

However, I am anxious to see Eli Roth's "Thanksgiving Day" if it makes it to the big screen. For those that don't know about it its a trailer from the movie, Grindhouse.
