odims_sphere Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 hopefully this wont take away from DGN radio but I clicked on one of the google links here and discovered pandora radio. you type a song title or artist and it creates a streaming radio station based on that style. i typed front line assembly to which it created so far: FLA - neologic spasm Front 242 - modern angel Information society - seek300 Project pitchfork - realm center Neuroticfish - velocity FLA - future fail Angels & Agony - lethargy This is really cool sorry troy, i do love dgn radio, but this is like EVERY song is my tastes where as DGN radio tries to have something for everyone.
Msterbeau Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 Damn. That's cool. DGN Radio hasn't been working for me the past few times I tried... I'll give this a go. Thanks!!
Shade Everdark Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 I just discovered Pandora two, maybe three weeks ago. I'm really liking it, so far. It's an interesting and innovative way to run an internet radio station, I think.
Msterbeau Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 Looks like it needs a little training.. No problem , though.
Fierce Critter Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Ginevra posted about Pandora on DGN years ago, might have been on the EZB version. It's awesome.
saechalyn Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 I love my pandora station. I own very little music, so it's been a godsend.
MarsDustDoug Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 hehe ive been addicted to this little gem for a monthish myself. I love how obscure it gets. I was listening to my Skinny Puppy station and ended up with some pretty decent hiphop lol
Reaper Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 Hey they do a good job hitting the music tastes I really like in the industrial area. Thanks for the heads up.
Saint Germain Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 You lucky, Pandora was banned outside the USA. I must take a loop way across Proxy server.
FarrIL Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Pandora.com is amazing. I've gotten some wicked playlists off of that. =3
Soulrev Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Wow I just discovered this for myself. Put in Velvet Acid Christ at first, it's been playing some great music ever since.
Rev.Reverence Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 It know .... SOO MUCH! I've been Rockin' it since my second week on the web... ...I assUmeD it was common knowledge...hehe I won't do that again Bro's&Sis's.....
Hellion Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 I discovered it almost 4 months ago,its really awesome, also there is another site similar to it,can't remember but it starts with a "J"
Troy Spiral (13) Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 There is also slacker.com which works in a similar way. It has more features, but is more involved to setup. DGN radio has been gone for pretty long time, just not enough fundage to support it $$ wise. People were using it, but it just wasn't cost effective.
thewhiterecluse Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Pandora.com kicks ass, that's how I found out about some good bands several months ago.
jynxxxedangel Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 The Pandora Project ROCKS!! For sure! I thought it was common knowledge, as well..
jynxxxedangel Posted June 30, 2008 Posted June 30, 2008 Check out Songza, as well. You can playlist streaming music.
