Funny you should mention strange musical instruments. I met someone this past weekend who went to see a band (The Amino Acids) that use a theremin. I'd never heard of one before so I looked it up on Wikipedia. Interesting gizmo.

Did they have an oscilloscope with them? If so it's probably the one I gave them. I actually got to DI it to the sound board at I-Rock and let me tell you that was a fun night. They gave me their audio track on the same line though but I worked around it. If anyone has a chance to see them live I highly suggest it.

Also the Theremin is quite easy to make these days from what I've heard.

Jimmy Page used it quite a bit in the early 70's.

I read that. Moog got involved with them on his way to creating his early synthesizers...
