n0Mad Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Marc, Melissa, doesn't this just bring tears to your eyes? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19339955/
Msterbeau Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Naw. If they were crushing Lotus Elise's or Mini Coopers. I would be sad. I saw this last night on Autoblog.
Rayne Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Not really. If your going to ILLEGALLY street race, then have the sense to NOT get caught ... and what's up with the dude with the stolen transmission? Yeah, they deserved it.
Head Wreck Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 if your gonna race. attend a track day or open day at the local race track
Shade Everdark Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 A pity that they don't auction them off. I imagine they could find some slightly older motorists who'd like those cars and wouldn't be dumb enough to street race. But I'm sure destroying them is really the most sensible solution [/snark]
Scary Guy Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Thank god it's Cali and not here, that's all I have to say.
creatureofthenyte Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 I would not shed a tear if all the steroided hondas of the world died an untimely death
Reaper Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Serves them right for putting all the money they have into a simple car to race around. I remember seeing a few of these cars over in Louisville that were zipping in and out of traffic. I felt like moving the truck into one of their lanes so they could ram the back of my trailer.
creatureofthenyte Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 well, if you are on a two lane road/highway, and you see them coming behind you, just pull up alongside someone who is doing the speed limit. then the buttnuggets can't fly by, and have nowhere to go. Ive done this before, and its legal, and highly amusing.
Gaf The Horse With Tears Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Actually. it's not. You can get a ticket for obstructing traffic and/or causing a road hazzard. If everyone on the road is going 40mph over the speed limit and you are doing the speed limit. You can get the same tickets. As for the cars, they know the risks and should be willing to pay the price. As for crushing them.. well.. these things are usually highly modified and as marc can attest... if they are actually racing these cars the engines are going to take a great deal of time and moeny to get back to a good running condition. Race engines break, alot. Bolts loosen at the high revs and torques... gaskets blow.. heads warp fromt he heat... the list goes on... These guys put all thier cash into them because they break.
Homicidalheathen Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Ok now I know where to find some might pissed of mexicano's.
