That's hot?

EW.

Other than one radio 'hit' what kind of career has she had in music?

I hardly find her to be relevent.

very wrong indeed. she is very relevant to music. Jett has been called The Godmother of Punk and is probably the first Riot Grrrl. She may have only had one #1 hit, but she had MANY other hits including. "Little Liar," "Do You Wanna Touch Me," "Crimson and Clover," "Light of Day," "I Hate Myself For Loving You," and "Love Is All Around."

Her group The Germs' album was also called the American version of Sex Pistols Never mind the Bullocks.

Her first group the Runaways were HUGE in the UK, Australia, and Japan. They had a large following here in the US as well. Just not as big. They produced an LP which is one of the highest selling import in the history of the US and UK.

Yes!

I very much agree. (yay for the Runaways too).

Plus, she's just a whole lot of *fun* to watch. I wish I hadn't missed her this time.

She's a tough one too. She didn't get her success handed to her. Part of her story:

"At age 15, Jett ran away from home. She helped form the Runaways after receiving a call from her boyfriend who was sleeping with her mother.

She was so heartbroken to hear of the news that she took only one thing with her on the road; a picture of a juke box with her boyfriend standing beside it. Jett says she did this so she would always have something driving her toward success"

I used to idolize Joan Jett. When I was 18 one of my roomates had stayed in a line overnight (9 months pregnant mind you) just to when backstage passes to this festival in Grand Haven so I could meet her and some other performers, and see her play. I still have the guitar pick she gave me from that night. I couldn't tell you have the bands that played that night but I can tell you I never left my spot front and center for 18 hours just so I could see her hawtness up close. Yeah..........I'm a nerd.

Besides the fact she sings and plays well and at the same time.....and is in better physical condition than anyone on here....that alone takes like hours everyday.

One to be admired for sure.
