Yahoo E-mail Overload!

I have a yahoo e-mail address I use only for Freecycle. I haven't accessed it in months, and it's choked with over 6,000 e-mails. It won't even load.

Is there some way to delete all of them without actually opening the inbox? I don't need ANY of them, no need to even view them.

I don't know- but I know the feeling... I write so I belong to sites so I can post my stories and poems... I call the e-mail I use for it my E-mail of DOOM!! I think It's up to 9,000. If anyone knows how- I'd like to know... :(

I just checked one of my old yahoo email accounts , it has about 5500 emails in it.

When i click on it, it just loads a bit slow but it does eventually load and theres only like 25 posts per page.

Maybe thats the problem.. go to Options > General Preferences > Messages/results per page

and set it to a low number so its not trying to load like 1000 messages all on one screen.

You might be using the older version of yahoo mail. If you are before you click on your inbox in the middle/upper right hand corner there is a thing that says "Switch To The New Yahoo Mail!" which loads a ton faster.

Actually, Troy, you helped me fix the problem.

I'm using the new mail beta. I switched to the old version, and was able to view and delete everything.
