know_buddy_kares Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 Good fucking RIDDANCE!!!!!!! Last time I went there all the employee's seemed deliberately rude as fuck to me, then i found out that their union states they can treat a customer however they wish. Since i did nothing wrong and trying to just pay for some shit and get out, this one lady that worked there cut right infront of me... right in the middle of the cashier scanning my items, and started shooting the shit. I'm like.. um excuse me, I don't wanna impose but I'd like to get my stuff and get outta here so you can carry on your convo without me eavesdropping and all... I get rudeness... I exploded I'll admit, I told em to fuck off and started walking out. The started shouting that I cant leave all that stuff there. I said fuckin do your job, that's what they pay you for, not sittiong around and chatting... ...i havent' been back since. And i used to like that place for it's great prices.
Fierce Critter Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Sigh. I'm a little sad to see them closed now. While I was growing up, there was no Meijer's, no SuperK-marts, no Super Wal-Marts. If you wanted to grocery shop, your choices were Farmer Jack, Kroger, Food Town, A&P, maybe Wrigley's, Great Scot!, Chatham, and local Spartan stores. Now, Kroger is the last of the "groceries only" type chains. I've come to hate Wal-Mart & Meijer's. I'm really scared actually about Super Wal-Marts opening in this area. The Wal-Mart on Telegraph in Taylor is currently undergoing expansion into one. I'll be honest - when living in Florida & NC, there was no cheaper place to shop. But I hope that doesn't mean the end of Kroger and mom&pop grocers in Michigan.

They own a VERY lucrative and the largest retail grocery chain (Ralphs / Food 4 Less) in California, and they quietly buy out many more throughout the nation. They wont be going anywhere.
Homicidalheathen Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 ....used to know this guy that huffed nitrous oxide out of those whip cream cans. He used to get off work on Friday night and call me and sing......'its always savings time at Farmer Jack!' On his way there......they had two cans for a buck or some shit back in the 90's. It was funny. I will always remember Farmer jack for being the cheap nitrous oxide pusher. LOL!
