If there is a welcome post and say 48 hours later they still haven't replied (they probably haven't seen it, some people only check certain forums) send them a PM with a link to it if your so inclined. I do it myself sometimes but i don't always think of it and/or have the energy and if more than one person does it it just has that much more weight.

I realize not everyone has the energy for this sort of thing.

Also "welcoming" people directly in a PM as WELL as welcoming them in a welcome message is a good idea if we are trying to get them to play with us more on DGN.

A welcome post , is better than a welcome PM if there's only energy for one or the other for most people. People already use "email" what they aren't typically used to is posting on message boards. Gotta break em in.

Anyhow just some ideas/thoughts.

Well, if you'd like, I could take on the responsibility to send every newbie a welcome pm...

Is it possible to send me a list and the link to the profiles of the new people that join everyday?

That'd be sweet.

But no theres not really a way to send you specificly a list every day. But , all you have to do to check to see who the new people are is

Members> Join Date > Decending in the members list at the top of the board. (which is what i do)

Then i make a note somewhere if what the last date i did it was, and try to do it again a few days / week later (if not sooner) so i get everyone.

Great. It sounds really complicated. But I'll try it out as soon as I got the spare time...

This 👆 definitely goes with what I said in my other post - getting old sucks. Seems like *everything* takes longer and takes more energy out of me than it used to. Really need to work on my diet and exercise, I've found the older I get, the more important those things have really become...

Well we were supposed to leave last night, but life has a way of making plans for you. I'm about to get up and get ready to go on our vacation. Had and still have a lot to do.  Not easy to just up and leave a ranch with a lot of animals and things that need taken care of. We even have people here to watch and tend things while we're gone, but still.   I had to change the radiator in my car before we leave - got that done last night. Took a lot more out of me than I thought it would, so by the time I finished I had little energy for anything else. Today I just have a couple more quick things to do on the car, like cleaning it and packing stuff. Couple of minor things to do around the ranch today, as well.   I figure we should be on the road this evening sometime. I'm looking forward to it. We're going to see the wife's side of the family, people I actually like,  in Vegas and AZ. Should only be gone for a few days, maybe a week. Going to the Grand Canyon and Lake Mead and all kinds of stuff in between, so I'm pretty stoked. I LOVE the Southwest.   Wish me luck that my car survives the desert! (Hence new radiator) 🤠👍

Sometimes sleep can be a scary thing.  I passed out so hard at 4:54pm today.  Yesterday wiped me out with rentals, appointments and helping a lost dog get back home.  Fortunately, I found him on Facebook and contacted the owners and he was picked up before nightfall.  But I think I totally overdid it and paid for it today in the middle of handling business.  Thankfully it was some work at home stuff.   I definitely do not like being that kind of tired.  It's like the World could end and I'd wake up afterwards trying to find out what happened.
