That part about martial law is a tad scary. Makes me think I should bolster my gun collection, stock up on canned food, and improve defenses around my home for when the revolution starts.

And that's naive nonviolent little old ME saying that... imagine how much blood could be shed if they actually try to pull that shit

One thing I do want to point out.... If they do try to declare martial law and actual army, marine, ect soldiers come in and fight citizens, that's gonna be a mind fuck to the soldiers, and they just quite possibly may not do it. I sure as hell know it'll fuck with my head severely if i'm tasked out to somewhere in the US to push citizens around... I think i'll flip my commanding officer the bird instead.

Yeah, and then be subsequently shot for it.

I see it as deteriorating into the current situation in Iraq. Soldiers aren't trained to differentiate between anyone other than friend or foe. This is why they're trained like they are, so that they don't question orders at all ever.

First up, I've flipped my supperiors off countless times. The fact that I also have a loaded weapon makes them ALOT friendlier about it lmao.

I understand what you're saying though, my experiences out in iraq, I, like everyone else including the Iraqi's, didn't know what the fuck was going on.

But this would be different, because most all soldiers were born and raised in this country, these are our own people. And the friend or foe mentality is actually just basic instincts. A soldier, like everyone else, is still a person. We can deal with alot more stress, we take orders alot easier, however, there's still morals involved. Rank I have seen, has never made a leader. I've seen alot of shit bags of higher rank than their troops try to task out orders and the basic term could be called a mutany since they all told the shitbag to fuck off.

But if it comes to that extreme as to where I get shot if i don't obey, fuck it. I'll take the fuckin bullet. I won't kill my own.
