Kids Grow Up Way Too Fast Now A Days..

Today I was at my boss's house helping the dog groomer with their very LARGE dog and I went upstairs to grab a pen from the kitchen area. I'm very comfortable in this house, considering i've been in and out of it several times for the past four years.

Anyway.. I was walking into the kitchen and out of the corner of my eye I saw someone half naked in the living room, and in a towel..I was like "WOAH! SORRY!!! I didn't think anyone was home" as I covered my eyes and looked quickly the other way..he was like "It's okay, I have shorts on underneath this, but it wouldn't matter if I didn't, I wouldn't mind" as he undid his towel and showed me his shorts .. he came up and shook my hand and introduced himself as my boss's son's friend. I was almost in shock.. I don't think I was that witty at his young age, especially when talking to the opposite sex.

On a side note, if he's my boss's son, he's like 14 years old! and he totally didn't look 14. *BLUSH* How does a 14 year old make a 31 year old person blush?!?!?! that just blows my mind.

Am I the only one who notices this? or am I living in a sheltered hole?

I've noticed that kids seem to be maturing earlier. Actually I think I've read that some research that supports that.

I mean seriously!! I know in the birth of our nation, young girls were being married off at the ripe age of 12 and having babies while they were still babies, but this is now 2007 we don't need to be so mature so quickly. It's crazy..

I thought maybe it was just a shock to me because I don't have any teen kids nor do i hang with any.. so *shrug*

Yeah, some of them get way too "mature" way too quick. And some of them can make 31 year olds (or 24 year olds) blush by being flirtatious bastards. It's kinda cute actually. 12-16 is honestly my favorite age group to work with, especially the little boys who think they're all "smooth."

Anyhow it's kind of a double standard. For young girls it would be horrible (even though they dressed like prostitots when I was in middle/high school, so they're just begging for trouble). But I remember reading about a kid his age getting "molested" by his extremely hot teacher and I was thinking "nice job". At his age (ok Sr. year actually) I wanted pretty much the entire science department which just so happened to be made up entirely of extremely hot brainy women.

haha this is funny but I was actually supposed to be a high school teacher.. but I hated when I did the student teaching and assisting that I didn't look much older than my students... They honestly mistook me for one of them.. It's not that I did a bad job, or they didn't like me..cause well, i rock ..but I thought that I had to hold myself to a higher standard and stuff..which I do with every other thing in my life, and well..I was going to an aweful lot of concerts and CC and things like that..I didn't wanna eventually see my students at one of those events and I didn't want there to be some outbreak of OMG Ms. HunHee is a sexual devient cause she goes to CC and Fetish Shows.. could you imagine? ugh.. *rolls eyes*
