Drumming Last Night

I have not been there in a couple years and found out one of my friends I used to look up to sorta had a mental break down and ended up homeless for awhile.....and that the politics runs so deep I am glad I keep most of my friends as acquaintiances until I get to know them quite well and that most people are full of crap or themselves.

Don't know why there is always this strange set of politics in any social group.....this person did or said that......that person is not really in the 'inner circle' ect...ect.....

I know that the ones that matter always seem to like me so I am doing something right by just doing my own thing, lending a hand when I can....and staying out of the crap.

Most of the people that seem to be more enlightened for a time end up loosing it later mentally or financially or both.....so how good are you if you can't even hold it together?

Maybe you know allot of spiritual stuff and were very enlightened and imparted wisdom and presence at once in your life, but life is also about evolution and adapting to change....and if you can't survive then you are not shit to anyone.

Those yogi beggars in India? Are they truely happy? I guess if your happy sitting on the street begging all day......well you have no worries thats for sure.

I don't think one of them would survive here where people don't see that as important....instead of bringing them food they would probably spit on them and kick them....

But last night was a beautiful night. It got going real good for awhile and we drummed until 4am. I met someone wonderful and we hung out a bit after and I spent some good time with old friends too.

I am tired but happy.

And the full moon was gorgeous. It was really beautiful.

That's wonderful you had such a good time. I know what you mean about the politics. I've been reluctant to join groups because of bad experiences in the past with things like that. Or you find out that people who claim to be spiritual and open are also racist, homophobic, sexist, or insert some other "ist." I know we are all human. Maybe that is the lesson I need to learn. Maybe my standards are too high. *sigh*

But a good night drumming sounds like it did wonders for you.

OMG you would not believe this. This lady I have looked up to for years said someone she knows had her b/f die and she broke two ribs crying so hard. Lady is either nuts or full of crap.

Funny how you can know someone for years and think they are wonderful and all together and then find out they are whacky.
