Christmas In July

Apparently some plane flew over Monroe the other day and spread some kinda white powder all over the place. Assuming it's not actually snow, or cocaine, or anthrax, what could it be?

I have a friend on Myspace who believes it may be related to "chemtrails."

I'm not really big on conspiracies and the "chemtrails" thing sounds like one, but I was curious to find a weather modification bill from 2005 (immediately after Hurricane Katrina, of course) on senate.gov. I'm not sure it's the one they mentioned in the youtube clip, but it did get me to thinking... researching weather modification before setting a timeline to phase out the use of fossil fuels and aerosols is like taking a shower before digging a ditch.

"Chemtrails" are supposedly clouds of dust or maybe aerosol released into the atmosphere by government jets purposely to modify local weather patterns or temperatures. They look like big old contrails, hence the clever name. They are assumed by conspiracy theorists to contain aluminum and/or barium because those metals A. would affect a climate change, if only slight and B. have been found in more concentrated levels in the water supplies of areas where people have witnessed suspected "chemtrails."

Obviously I'm skeptical, but you never know, eh?

Wow, I clicked that link that scary guy had up there and it lead to another site called educate-yourself.org. Anybody read any of that shit? About how some elitest group called the Illuminati is trying to control the human population and wants to reduce us by 5.5 billion people by 2050 using genocide? See that's scary, but this is what I hate about conspiracy shit: There's NO way of finding out how legit this site is and many stuff they state "We got from insider information" but how do I really know this? Actually that's what the Chemtrails "are supposedly for" according to that webpage, to try to introduce pathogens to the American population and also to weaken the immune system and cause droughts by changing the weather so that people starve. So I dunno, I wanna believe that most of it isn't true, I mean fuck they even had a section about how the Illuminati apparantly gets info and tips from "extraterrestrial beings", so stuff like that right there wants to make me believe that it isn't credable, but see once again I can't say that for sure. EEEP I hate stuff like this, conspiracy stuff, all it does it make me worry. Any thoughts on this? Did anyone else check out that webpage?

there are much better and much easier ways to reduce the population that the illuminati (if they existed) aren't taking advantage of, i.e. encouragement of lifelong gay relationships and abortions. ergo, the conspiracy of their goal to reduce the population by 5.5 bils is bullshit on the highest order.

exactly, it would be so easy to erupt this country in a civil war that we'd have been in one by now. And for the record, I was only joking about a tin foil hat thing... good god every tiny little thing gets branched in to some intricate and complex mass consperacy theory.

here's my tin foil hat idea.

We're all a bunch of paranoid insignificant mass of chemicals who have advanced faster than that of wich our natural evolution could keep up. So now we have all these advanced items and technology, yet we still run primarily on emotional instinct of wich we needed when we were all freakin tree monkeys with clubs. From Loin cloth to business suit, a caveman is still a caveman. Don't like me saying this? Here's an Idea, smarten up and stop acting like cavemen humanity..

You should watch "The Century of the Self" good documentary on how his theories are used to sell you things and control the population. Four parts each an hour long.

For example the Betty Crocker instant cake mix was a flop when it first was introduced. They did a focus group study on it and found that wives felt guilty about how easy it was. The solution was to add the requirement for an egg so she felt like she played a roll in it. Then it took off like crazy.

Oh yeah the thing about the lesbian nuns was neat too.
