I started 'magnet for strange' cause thats what I am. I still want to use it to name a project I am working on.

I was in a bar in San Francisco back in the '80s and some people were getting into a heated political debate... and the bartender said, "Y'all need to stop talking about this serious shit... talk about Disneyland or something!" So now when a conversation is getting into heavy areas where tempers are about to flare I always say "OK it's time to talk about Disneyland!"

Also when I am menstruating I'll say "yeah it's the joy of womanhood" ... there is a story behind that one but it's only marginally amusing to anyone who doesn't know the person involved.

amost all my friends are guys so occasionally when we're all sitting around drinkin someone would comment about how its always a 'sausage fest' going on at my house- one night in response i told them "when you have your own house you can host all the fish-frys you want!" it stuck and i still hear my friends repeating it to this day.
