sass_in_the_pants Posted August 9, 2007 Author Posted August 9, 2007 I have the calling to be a giant, radioactive monster that rampages in Tokyo. Unfortunately, I have neither the physical mass or the nuclear requirements to fulfill this calling. Sigh, I know what you mean. I believe my real and true calling is to be a drag queen. This is complicated, of course, since I'm a girl and no one is really interested in seeing a girl pretending to be a boy pretending to be a girl. Genetics just wasn't kind enough to me. My stage name, by the way, would be Cinnamon. Oh yeah, and when I was a kid my mom said I could be anything when I grew up. I said I wanted to be a blueberry. She said 'Not that'. Bah. What good are you then? Well, I don't think it is a calling, but I do think I've finally found something that I can do that will make money for me and also allow me to enjoy my job. I want to be a hairstylist. Though I've always get the response "But you're so smart!" when I tell people that this is what I want to do. One of my dearest friends is very smart, very well educated, and is now doing hair. She LURVES it! So, I say run with it.
Hellion Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 The skills I have I consider my calling/experiences that I have learned over the years. i have been in the precision grinding area for about 7 years, centerless grinding,OD grinding,a little lathe work, mill hand, surface grinding. Also 11 years mig welding,23 years model building. the main thing that has always annoyed me was no matter how good of a job you do,your not being paid as much as you should, for the experience you do have.
TrixieGothGirl Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 Yeah, to live long enough to make my kids lives a living hell.
