BrassFusion Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 So he dodged the bullets that would've let to more of a dishonorable discharge... I don't care. At least he'll be gone. "Karl Rove is moving on down the road," Bush said, appearing grim-faced on the White House's South Lawn with Rove at his side. "We've been friends for a long time and we're still going to be friends ... I'll be on the road behind you here in a bit," he said ruefully. Edited for time travel
Shade Everdark Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 So he dodged the bullets that would've let to more of a dishonorable discharge... I don't care. At least he'll be gone.Edited for time travel I'm afraid I care, inasmuch as it's possible for me to care about something. This is likely his path to skirting any charges that might have been brought against him by Congress. I think his feet should have been held to the fire, and now I don't think they ever will, if indeed, there was ever a chance of it happening before. One thing I can say: one day, someone is going to wipe that arrogant, smug smirk off his face, and I really hope I'm there with a video camera for it.
Msterbeau Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Oh yeah... I was going to post about this. I woke up with a smile because the news was on NPR.

You could convert to Christianity and watch Our Dark Lord Satan do it.
ttogreh Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 While I could explore how deep the schizoid logic goes with the concept of spiteful conversion, let's be clear for a moment. I think Rove has no scruples. I really do. I think he exploited the fear and worry of old-time conservatives to kill the McCain candidacy. I think he exploited the special relationship of Jeb Bush with his brother as much as he could to win in Florida. I think he exploited the fear and worry of all Americans after 9/11 to get some really monstrous legislation passed. I think he did whatever he could to discredit the doubters of the reasons for going to war in Iraq. I think he collaborated with really distasteful people to besmirch John Kerry's Viet Nam record. I think he tried whatever he could to pull off one more con in the 2006 elections. I know he failed. However, with all of that... I don't think there is anything that is legally actionable. I am pretty sure he broke some pretty serious laws, but I am also pretty sure I and no one else can prove it. The sooner he fades from power, the better. He's done with presidential politics. No sane candidate will have anything to do with him, after congress gets through with proving absolutely nothing but dragging him through hearing after hearing for the next six months.
creatureofthenyte Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 If there is ANY justice in this lifetime, Karma will come along and kick the shit of him reallll good.
Scary Guy Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 That's one puppet master down. Although he's still not out.
know_buddy_kares Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 That's one puppet master down. Although he's still not out. I'd rather he die by choking to death on the amputated gangreous left testical from an STD infested crackhead from Fort St. in Detroit.
phee Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 In the whitehouse out of the white house... he will still have his hand up dubbaus ass...

In fact, he has less defense now than before.
know_buddy_kares Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 I've noticed a pattern, these creeps, like Rumsfield back then, are slowly one by one getting out of the white house. That's fine, let the greedy bastards leave, let em go to the private sector yadda yadda, so long as the white house is replaced with better people that might start shoveling all the horse shit outta the white house that these jerks made. Now, if they start leaving country and start living somewhere else entirely, THAT'S when I'm gonna start shitting bricks.
know_buddy_kares Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Oh not to thread jack or anything, but since this is a political thread, more than likely it's going to get in a big shit flinging fight between the tin foil hat wearing liberals, and the cool aid drinking conservatives, along with the democrats vs republicans. So before everyone starts flinging shit at everyone else... I have in my possession, shit flinging shields... you might wanna check one out before posting in this thread.
Scary Guy Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 In the whitehouse out of the white house... he will still have his hand up dubbaus ass... That's what I said, in a way.
nilhil_glory Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 ohh a shit flinging sheild? iwants one...any who ap news thing said the senate and house judiciary comittees still want to go after him
ttogreh Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 Of course, the good part of all of this is that... everybody knows the dirty tricks that Rove likes to pull. Did you notice that the White House commented on Hillary's campaign ads? Presidents in their second term are supposed to essentially ignore presidential campaigning. Why would the White House comment on her ads? It gives Hillary legitimacy. The conventional wisdom is that with a 49 per cent unfavorable rating, Hillary can win the nomination, but not the election. The White House will do whatever it can to get Hillary nominated.
