Homicidalheathen Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 so yah, he isn't goth.....but most of you are knowlegeable about music so......someone told me his last 2 cd's were wonderful and that I should purchase them........anyone know?
glc Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Geez, while I'm in the mood for admitting things, I'll admit to this too. I dig Prince. I don't have much of his music, just the newer albums, but what I have heard is awesome. The dude has tallent and there's no denying it!
Homicidalheathen Posted August 17, 2007 Author Posted August 17, 2007 Me go check them out now and may buy one thanks. Again, it takes a real man to admit he likes prince......um yah. Not really. Just saying. He is talented beyond words....I made K watch one of his concerts.....K is VERY critical......and he LOVED it. The man played 3 instruments and danced his little round tush off. Oh and he sang.
glc Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 If you're just gonna buy one of the new ones, start with musicology
sass_in_the_pants Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 They're both awesome! I saw Prince in concert years ago...he was sexiest 97 pounds I had ever seen.
flucky ada Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 LOVE Prince. Not afraid to admit it at all either. Even dressed up in Purple Rain gear for Halloween a few years ago. Ran around with a Yellow Cloud guitar and some beer in a wine glass singing Darling Nikki all night:) Won 2 categories in a costume contest for it too!
Scary Guy Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 All I know is that guitar solo from "Little Red Corvette, the second Batman movie soundtrack, and a few others. Never was huge into him because he seems too full of himself. Guy is a musical genius though and can play 12 instruments. He gets my respect for that.
Homicidalheathen Posted August 19, 2007 Author Posted August 19, 2007 I hear he would rather write than fuck and he gets my respect for that.
Scary Guy Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 I hear he would rather write than fuck and he gets my respect for that. Well shit, when you're Prince and you have THAT many women who would just basically throw themselves at you, yeah I'd probably get kind of tired of it too.... after a while. .... a long while.
know_buddy_kares Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 I can't stand him IMO, but then again, it's simply because I cannot stand that type of music.
TrixieGothGirl Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 The first time I heard of Prince was in '83 when I saw the video for "Little Red Corvette". I've been hooked on his music ever since.
Daniel Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 I enjoyed 3121. It was funky yet gritty. I don't think it was any return to form on Prince's part, but it was quite enjoyable. Though, the reality is, I don't end up listening to it much at all. Not sure on anything newer than that. Maybe have to check into it.h
TrixieGothGirl Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Another one of his songs that I really like is the song "1999". He comes off as sooooo sexy. So what that he's short, that just makes it better for us shorter gal. Am I right girls? The man is soooo thin, does he even eat?
Homicidalheathen Posted August 26, 2007 Author Posted August 26, 2007 That was a well spent 18 bucks and 2 hours laying on the couch together listening to them back to back starting with musicology and moving onto purple rain. Record time rocks.
jadnifer Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Prince will always be on the top of my music list!
