OK, you guys already know i live with chernobyl!

This problem is not her fault!!!!!!

chernobyl's property manager just decided that we can not live with her & gave us 30 days to move but we have no where else to go & we don't have any money saved up because of having a 4 month old baby & having to get our car fixed! We can't even go to a shelter because my husband works midnights!

We have been trying to look for a cheap place to rent with no strings attached but we can't find anything we can aford & now we only have 2 weeks left! My husband works in romeo, so we were trying to find a place near there.... The property manager said that my husband's credit is not good anough for them, so that's why they are kicking us out & chernobyl already petitioned it & told them that we have a 4 month old baby & we have no where else to go!!!!!!

I don't know what to do & i refuse to let my baby be on the streets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please, if you have any suggestions or comments or anything at all, please reply!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that's one seriously shitty ass fucked up deal. You guys are fuckin awsome, I like you guys and IMO, you're alot better than her last room mates. I really don't know what to say honestly... I don't know... Rent is only going up, not down, you guys might wanna check out rent.com or roomates.com and hope you can find a sincere offer to split rent on there. Thats what I did when I found that place in madison heights. It took a month or two of sleeping in my car and checking shit on my lap top at an internet cafe but.. the kid yeah... i'd say see if one of your parent's could watch it for a bit until you guys land back on your feet?

These may not work, but it's all I can think of offhand

Call the shelters anyway, they might have housing resources/referrals even if you can't stay there.

I found my place on craigslist. (I also have bad credit) Are you seeing places that you could afford the monthly rent but there's just the problem of security deposit/etc? If so contact them anyway and see if they'll give you a deal. Might not work out, but you never know. Some landlords will accept a lower rent in exchange for some gardening work, etc.

Is there ANYONE you can think of who would cosign your current place for you? Sometimes they'll accept that in lieu of good credit.

You can also place an ad on craigslist explaining your situation and see if you get someone who can help you out.

Can your husband talk to people at work about a pay advance?

Those quick cash/Payday loan places are evil, and charge exorbitant rates, but they are better than sleeping in the street.

If you have anything of value, sell it on ebay or craigslist.

I don't know if they'd come through in time, but you can apply for a grant from modestneeds.com

Good luck to you and your little family...god that sounds so stressful. Hang in there.

The Salvation Army and other charitable orgs can sometimes help.

My advice is to not go through classifieds in the paper, as they are often posted by rental companies who are sticky about credit.

Instead, find an area you want to live and drive and look for "for rent" signs, and call them.

We have horrible credit. But that's how we found our place. The landlord appreciated us being honest with him about our credit, and didn't care so long as we get our rent in by the 1st each month.

We found other landlords who were eady going like that, but not through the classifieds.

Good luck.

I'd offer you something temporary at my house, everyone knows I think that Butthole you live with now is awesome, but also I am way far in the opposite direction... I hope it all works out for you.

I've been real anxious and worried over the entire situation. That's why even though I'm dirt ass broke I waived your guys' rent for this month 'cause it was the least I could do. If you need someone to watch Ruby in an emergency, I promise I'll try not to eat her....well maybe just a finger or two. I hope everything works out for you guys...

I know that most people dont like to do this.

The Department of Human Services sometimes helps families with housing and food and things like that for people that are in your predicament.

The nearest office is on Dunham Road.

It doesnt hurt to go there and talk to someone.

You are in my prayers.

I have been there before, and I know what its like, the only thing I can suggest is mayby call the Salvation Army,or Good Will.

I have also always hated that idea that you must have excellent credit to basically have a good life in America,I never have and never will except that idea, what they dont understand not everyone here has premier top notch credit.mine sux due to layoffs

I hope they can help you out.good luck.

alright. I would suggest craigslist, but if you don't have any money saved up.. damn.

I talked to two of my three roommates, and if you need it. And I mean were desperate about to be on the streets kind of needed it, you could come stay with us.

I live in a little *shitty* house, in detroit. It's by no means close to Romeo (right?) but in desperate times, a roof over your head is important. Especially with a baby. It's not the greatest house in the world, hell its not even as clean as I would like it... But you could stay with us. We would make room for you guys.

I don't like to see someone on the streets. My latest roommate is a person who was sleeping in abandoned houses, until we took him in. And he is only 18 yrs old.

So if you are interested, and have no where else to turn, leave me a private message.

~Vivian

p.s. this goes to anyone, as well. I will not see you on the streets if I can help it.
