What do you consider "affordable"? I have a friend from school days that owns a shop in Royal Oak called Elements. He'll make whatever you draw... within reason. Beautiful work... Probably not cheap but perhaps still in the ballpark.

What exactly do you mean by "fine"? You talking precious gems, gold, silver?

I'm working in beads, generally complex designs, and I use Czech glass, some Austrian Crystal, semi-precious to a degree.

I use decent silvertone findings. I can use sterling if actually commissioned.

Not sure if that's what you're looking for, but I can put up some pics if you'd like.

Looking for white gold, and I intend to use either white topaz, hematite, garnets, or smoky quartz. I want to spend $500 or so, little more, little less not relevant. I also am not quite sure the shape of this project yet. Need to research it out first.

My brain is saying it will need to be cast. I need to research it, going for an authentic viking era or mid 1300s england ring. Do put up your pics too though. I'm a jewelery whore! LOL

Oh, definitely not what I do.

I hope to work in precious metal clay someday, but the materials are expensive. Be a long time before I can afford to get into that, maybe have to get a wholesale license first.

Brendan at Elements might be able to help you based on your budget and wants. He did my wedding band for 800ish. That had white gold in it, sapphires and a small diamond. If you need help with a sketch, I'd be willing to barter for some sewing help in the future.
