The Real Id Act

Source for quote: http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c109:H.R.418:

(The last one on the list.)

This bill was a rider on another bill in 2005. It's already been passed into law, it's implementation has just been postponed.

(b) Minimum Document Requirements- To meet the requirements of this section, a State shall include, at a minimum, the following information and features on each driver's license and identification card issued to a person by the State:

(1) The person's full legal name.

(2) The person's date of birth.

(3) The person's gender.

(4) The person's driver's license or identification card number.

(5) A digital photograph of the person.

(6) The person's address of principle residence.

(7) The person's signature.

(8) Physical security features designed to prevent tampering, counterfeiting, or duplication of the document for fraudulent purposes.

(9) A common machine-readable technology, with defined minimum data elements.

http://www.antiwar.com/paul/?articleid=4817

A good article on what is happening, in my opinion.

Currently (9) is going to be a Radio Frequency Identification tag, probably the passive version (no battery needed, lasts a very long time). These RFID microchips are already been planted in all U.S. passports and visas, and the change to the passports also took place in 2005, with the visa alterations fairly soon after. RFID is also looking to be used in retail, Wal-Mart is one of it's biggest supporters.

How RFID works: http://www.technovelgy.com/ct/Technology-A...le.asp?ArtNum=2

Though passive doesn't have a huge radius, checkpoints would be all that's needed to track just about anyone with a card.

There is also the possibility of chipping U.S. money later down the line, which basically would mean the government could track every transaction.

I saw in a documentary, that legally now, a company can put an RFID chip in shoes, then sell them to you without you knowing.

On another note, I don't have enough free time to count the amount of times the word "Terror" was used in the final version of this bill.

An article about the Real ID act being passed from the "National Conference of State Legislature" website.

http://www.ncsl.org/programs/transportatio...lIDupdate06.htm

Another article about it being passed. Weird site, but this gives good examples about what could potentially happen to gun owners. http://www.rense.com/general65/realid.htm

This is complete bullshit. This is still a National ID regardless of what it's supporters say, it's just the states are submissively enacting the demands of the federal government. If people except this, it will only be a matter of time before the government will ween it's way into making the idea of being physically chipped more socially acceptable through the media, this is completely obvious. Also, the postponement of the act could've been done to host another "terrorist" action that will change public opinion, with a government that runs on the federal reserve system, I wouldn't hold it against them.

The popular opinion that I hear (not only from some members here) but in other places as well seems to be "well, if you have nothing to hide then I see no problem with this".

But to those that are not awake enough to see how this will hurt them and their future I leave this quote...

"Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary saftey deserve neither liberty nor safety."

To many people in our country (I'm talking about our citizens) would rather just bury their heads in the sand than to try and defend our rights against a government that is hell bent on total control of us. They are making so blatenly obvious and it boggles my mind when so many people can't see it (or just choose not to) I mean - WTF????

Wake up people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

exactly, you may not think you're doing anything wrong, but to allow such a thing is to allow yourself to become controled period. I just wait for the day everyone decides enough is enough... someone will do something stupid amidst the chaos... and with any luck.. it'll wake enough people up. though i do find that 80% of people are stupid sheeplike idiots that follow the strongest voice.

well really there's no one to blame but us for letting all this happen... yet people would rather not admit being played for a fool and continue to be the fool so they don't have to accept they're being fooled and led on. Pride can be rather silly no?

Just an FYI... get to know someone at an auto parts store... get to know them well. They have a machine.. I dont remember what it sopposed to be for.. but what it can be used for is a great thing... see.. it's a highly powerfull electromagnet. You know how they put those tags on everythign now to keep people from shoplifting them.. makes the alarms go off? Well, sometimes they are sewn into boots and such to hide them... if you stand ont he nachine and cycle it... it destroys the radio tag in anything thats on it.

Just a thought.

I see a RFID revolt in the not so distant future.

I may have more conservative slant on life than you guys... but I am a paranoid mother fucker.

NID (national ID) with a pretty new name.

Also other good ways to destroy RFID include a hammer, or a microwave.

Why would a company want to do that? And how would they know which shoes I bought?

They might not know which shoes *you* bought (yet), but i'm sure it can be applied as live, moving, market research. They'd be able to see realtime concentration of a product in an area. Or, use them as a more advanced barcode perhaps? and know *where* you bought them? I dunno, just a few ideas....

Hmmm...maybe to track where you walk. I don't always buy into the whole "goverment is out to get us" kinda paranoia all the time, but in this case, yeah this is fucked up. I'm surprised that it's not somehow a violation of our constitutional rights, thanks for the tip on how to destroy them too  That may come in handy.

I love the people in this post too who are like "It's all the people's fault! You have only yourselves to blame!" I have news for you guys: You're the people too. What have you done personally to stop this from happening? I'm betting it's the same as what everyone else has: sat around and talked about without taking any sort of action. So YOU'RE just as guilty too, ya know.

Here's another good site: www.unrealid.com

If the Real ID act isn't appealed I'll either end up leaving the country, or eventually getting arrested for not having it.

If a law is passed that puts RFID chips into criminals, which I'm guessing is going to happen if Real ID and RFID is not fought against, then I'm going to be extremely pissed-off; because the prison systems which are supposed to be helping people and have only gotten worse and more messed-up, will officially become the grounds of tracked cattle rather than human-beings.

The federal reserve system might as well fund a fascist party, they're doing a pretty good job corrupting the IRS code with a federal income tax that's against the constitution, yet has put people in jail and/or repossesses their money/possessions. Basically they've wrote a 'code' not backed by any law, against the allowable laws the constitution sets forth, and it has caused people to get arrested, sentenced, and stolen from for not abiding by it. Just like when the federal reserve system stole US citizens gold and therefore gained complete control over the value of our money hanging on their mindless, centralized existence.

There are retired IRS agents that don't have to pay federal income taxes and haven't for years. But if an average person tries it, they will have to fight a lawless accusation in court, it's like going to court because you don't believe in Santa. Some people get away with it, some end up in jail, but if your gonna try it, you'll have to get all of your money out of the bank and have all your possessions hidden/signed off to someone else temporarily, because stealing is supposedly legal for a government agency.

It's this kind of shit that has gone on for too long, imo.

Did you know that the IRS, The Federal Reserve, and not basing our money on Gold and silver all came about in 1913? All part of the same sweeping law passed by our good friends the Taxocrats... err Democrats.

Can you point out in the Constitution where a Federal Tax is a no go? Cause other people have tried to win that battle and all have lost.

Look up the movie "America: Freedom to Fascism" as it explains a lot about that.

Basically though it boils down to the fact that our money isn't back by anything except debt since the central bank loans it out at an interest.

Federal income tax is illegal because it's not apportioned to the people (state however is legal, except in Ohio because of how it was worded "anyone REQUIRED to pay a federal has to pay a state income tax as well" or something to that effect).

I'm not even christian and I was reminded of this too... how close that may be coming to reality is scary..

Source, please?

Now not trying to beat a dead horse, but for anyone who might be unclear, here's a few definitions of fascism.

I can give you a few sources that don't flat out say we're like this.. but it's still an interesting read about the concept of fascism by it's self. Now we've all witnessed actions within this country that are in the least, very relavent to each step, and yes, in some cases, 100% dead on.

This describes 14 characteristics of fascism in general.

Now I don't belive America is all out there 100% in every step, however there's some points that show some attempts have been made in every characteristic... For some of the more extreme characteristics like controling the media.. all i have to say there is FOX NEWS... but whether you wanna wear a tin hat, or drink the kool-aid, or use the hat to drink the kool-aid, neither... or whatever... it's still a good read to get you thinking.

And that has to do with the supposed 'unconstitutional' tax?

it was because fascism was taken out of context to the person you were replying to. I figured since you asked for a source, you and anyone else interested would like to get a good detailed description concerning fascism.

I'm thinking I'm going to be moving to AZ, soon! Can't wait! I friggin' love it here! The heat doesn't bother me at all and the best part? NO SNOW!!! (S.N.O.W. - Shit  No One Wants)   Been staying in Bullhead City where the kids and grandkids live. Next, we're going to the wife's cousin's which is a ways North of Kingman, in the middle of nowhere, where we actually plan to move.   I really like Bullhead. It's a nice little town. Not overcrowded like Colorado Springs has become, at all. Very light traffic, reasonable prices on everything, low taxes, etc. The river offers a lot to do, with a lot of beaches and campgrounds all around it.   But yeah even though we've been over 110º-115º F just about every day,  I can handle it!  What I can't handle anymore, is snow and being cold. Just tired of it. Give me the desert over a blizzard any day!

Nope, we wasn't doing anything. I didn't want to go by myself.  I ended up doing karaoke here. It would of been a perfect day to go, though.
