I’ve seen quite a few pics in the gallery, of a lot of you lovely girls in these beautiful corsets and was wondering where is a good place to get a “tight lacing” corset around here. Leather preferably! I’ve heard a bit about an eBay seller, Alter Ego Erotics, but was wondering if anyone on here has any from them and if so how is the quality? Specially on the zipper corsets.. Seems to me that the zipper would be under a lot of pressure and possibly give. Anyways any info or insight would be much appreciated! :bunny:

I have two AEE corsets, and I LOVE THEM. Both are leather. And I want more.

I'm a big girl. And these corsets do wonders to my figure.

I personally would stay away from zippers for tightlacing. And if you have a tummy "problem", make sure you get one with a busk.

another way to go (but definately pricey) is a custom made corset. Gallery Serpentine does fantastic work, I've gotten two corsets from them and both were wonderful. They have a lot of different styles and materials, and they can be ordered to custom measurements. Like i said, its expensive, but it's quality work.

I’m not a “big” girl, I’m not a skinny thing either I have chub. Lol… Which leads me to a few questions about sizing.. Hope you don’t mind me asking. Since you’ve ordered from them before you’ll probably be able to give me some much needed insight..

On the listings they say you should order the corset 2-8 inches smaller than your natural waist measurement. That’s a pretty big range… How accurate are there size? I’m a bit confused on what size to order. I’m a fan of a few inch opening in the back but 2-8 inches could allow for quite a bit of play. How good are they on returns or exchanges if I need a different size?

These are the three I'm looking at right now. I like the first one the best. But it's made to be used with stockings and not sure how it will look with those garter tabs hanging over a skirt... The plain one I like cause it has undewire and such where as the one with the shoulder straps seems like it would squish your boobs flat.. lol

If you don't mind me asking, but what styles did you order?

Hmmm thanks for the info I'll have to check the site out. I have a couple corset/bustier cross breed things and am looking for a full fledge “real” corset. I've seen some gorgeous cloth ones, but worry that tight-lacing would shred them. How are they for durability?

By the by thank you girls for the info and help... Much appreciated! XO Hether

They are wonderful for durability, and take tight lacing very well. They're constructed to be corsets, and behave accordingly. The only thing they dont reccommend them for is waist training (wearing *every single day* for the purpose of decreasing waistline). Both the ones I have from them are cloth ones (brocades), but they do make leather as well. They are very very durably constructed (thick, and boned). The styles i have are the Edwardian, and the Spanish Harlot. Also the thing to remember..... the prices on the site are in *Australian* dollars. (the AU dollar is still worth less than the US dollar, but at one time the conversion rate was *really* good.... it made these corsets a bit more affordable at the time.)

Sizing - I asked a ton of questions of both girls here who have purchased from them before, and also directly from the seller herself.

For the first one, I went with the woman's recommendation, because I have a VERY large stomach and she didn't think the size that would fit my waist would fit my hips. To start with, that was o.k. But now, I can lace it all the way together, so I wish I'd gone with the next smaller size.

If you are proportional - meaning you can be big, but your stomach doesn't protrude excessively like mine - I would go with a corset that allows for at least 6" of tightening. I do find that some exposure on the back - the panels not touching showing lots of nice lacing across a bare back - is extremely sexy.

Take your measurements - bust measurement is right under the armpits, and try to do it with your breasts in an uplifted position as if they were slightly pushed up by the corset. Take your waist measurement about directly where your bellybutton lies. And take your hip measurement around the widest part of your hip area, somewhat in the middle of your crotch & bellybutton. I would go with the size that allows for at least 6" smaller than that waist measurement. If your hips are wider, the laces will allow for more spread at the bottom.

As for the ones you are looking at, it depends on your tastes. For my first one, I wanted to go with one that could be worn with nearly everything, so I personally would have forgone the one with the garters, and thus opted for the 2nd one. As for the underwires, I personally would think, possibly "ouch!" to have that tightened into my chest. But it doesn't have actual cups, so it might work well.

I'll hunt up pictures of me in mine. I don't think I have a picture of me wearing the 2nd one I bought, which I went ahead and bought in a smaller size. But I might have pictures of my back slightly, showing you how much opening results from going with one smaller than recommended.

Back in a few.

I don't have a pic of me full-back in either corset. But here's a pic of some of the backside of the original corset, which shows I only have about an inch of space left for tightening:

post-7-1191275397_thumb.jpg

That corset actually measured (with laces completely tightened, panels touching) 8" less than my waist measurement. The 2nd one I bought measures 12" less - I was shocked actually to see I'd purchased one 12" smaller than my waist measurement. I can tighten that one to showing only about 4" of back, and that's with only sporadic wearings.

I would highly recommend going with one that, when fully tightened, is no less than 8" smaller than your measurement., because working up to 6" tightening on a person with a soft middle is actually pretty easy. You'll eventually be able to tighten that almost all the way closed. If you want more space, go with one that's 10" smaller than your measurement.

If you want to PM me your measurements, I can help you pick a size.

By the way, if you're new to corsets, I'd personally recommend going with one of these. The cost is a bargain compared to others, the quality excellent, and it's a good way to determine if you want to get into it more. Then you can be ready to spend the $$$ on custom-made ones, which, if you like the standard-sized ones from AEE, should put you in corset heaven. :)

OH, forgot you asked which ones I've got.

This is the first one I got:

The 2nd one is not for sale right now, so I can't link a pic. It's black & red with d-rings on the sides with criss-cross lacings at the sides.

I really want my next one to be an underbust. I have lots of tops that would look cute under one.

Wow, thank you! I think you hit on about every question I had.... And yeah I messaged the seller and erm... Hmmm I don't think they are to great on picking a size for you! She told me they were sold out of the one I wanted and it should be ok fo me to go with one larger size which only is 2 inches smaller than me.. Hmmm

Anyways though you look so cute in that pic.. I hope I look half as good when I get mine!

I have been tightlacing and making corsets for about 10 years now. I have a few AE corsets, and they are great for the club, but aren't as firm as a good multi-layer cloth one. That being said, I've gotten a 10" reduction with an AE corset. I would suggest starting with a waisty size about 4" smaller than your own. If you have "high squish" then go for 6". If your body is alittle more firm, go for less. I lost a ton of weight and can't get the degree of reduction that I used to simply because what there is of me is more firm. I think that could change with a custom corset though.

As you get more used to the reduction, you'll be able to do more. If your bust is proportunate to your waist, you can go with an "off the rack" pretty easily, and just get the waist size you want. If you are smaller or larger than proportunate for your waist, you may be happier in a waist cincher. I reccomend one that either has a busk or lacing in the front, and also laces in the back.

When you get it, if you need help getting into it, feel free to hit me up at CC! I LOVE tying girls up! ;)

I'm just looking for something to wear to concerts and the club, but those cloth ones on that site Munin218 are very very worthy of draining the bank account.. lol

Now reduction.. Hmmmm so confused.. lol The size I need they are sold out of. I sent her a message asking when or if they will be getting anymore.. Hoping to get a reply today as the auction ends in 15hours.. Otherwise I'm going to have to order either a size smaller or a size larger than I need.. The size smaller is close to 10inches smaller the the size larger is only going to be 4-6inches smaller than my natural waist. So it's a toss up.. I don't mind having a few inches of extra lacing.. 3inches open in the back is ok, but I don't know.. I'm hoping to get a message from the seller sometime today with some good news.. lol Like she just came across one last one in my size..

Laughs* I may have to take you up on that offer. Specially after the rather comical scene my friend and I made when she tried to tie me into a corset of a Renaissance gown… But I am looking forward to sporting my new corset to City Club hopefully sometime this month.. It’ll be my first time at City Club too! YAY

I would get one that is 4-6 inches smaller than your actual waist. Not more than 6" less and not less than 3" or you won't get much shaping.

I told her to go for one at least 8" - 10" smaller than her waist.

My AEE leather corsets eventually stretched a good 2". If she gets up to 6" of squeeze eventually, one of their 8" can end up closing all the way on you.

My 2nd one from them is actually 12" smaller than my waist size. It stretched 2", and I"m getting between 6 and 7" of tightening, so I end up with a gap of only about 3-4 inches.

I didn't recommend she go that small, however. She's got a tighter bod than me.

I ended up ordering the corset in the first pic... The one I ordered is 6 inches smaller... Grrrr seems like she was sold out of a lot of the sizes in that one.. I did email the seller and she mailed me back asking for my specific measurements and said she would see what she can do.. But I didn't want to miss out on the last one she had that was 6inches smaller... Pfft. And if all fails and I get it and it‘s to big I‘ll just exchange it for the corset in the second pic... Eeeps I just realized I ordered the wrong one.. lol Good gawd, I hope she lets me switch the order.. lol Ah I'm such a tart!
