I bought a dress there last year I wear to CC all year for only 20 bucks......it laces up the back.....Has full length long velvet sleeves......

I have also bought a full length leather vampire cape for 30.

My kid (I taught her well, heh...) found these boots for 35 bucks. Yup.

Right now they have a Matrix coat for around 20 bucks. A dominatrix outfit for the same, all leather.

These are the boots thing 1 found.....

And my wittle ones in their gothy best.

I luv that store and other's like it. Always find cool stuff. Some of it's over priced, but you can really find great deals if you keep your eyes open. Those boots are killer.

I need to snag a cheap smoke maker for my photography adventures.

I was browsing in a K-mart the other day. They have some amazingly well-put-together renaissance-style dress costumes in velveteen, lace & mesh.

I found a really cute pair of tights at one of those stores last year. They're black with an argyle-plaid style design on them with Emily the Strange cats on them. I was pleasantly surprised to find they fit me - truly one size fits all.

I pick up a lot of unusual fake eyelashes this time of year.

Some of the costumes & pieces labled as "goth" make me giggle.

I will be starting my rounds of Halloween decoration shops this week. I will keep my eyes open for one. I remember finding some last year at one of the places and it was priced very reasonably.

omg i'm with you on this one. i do probably 75% of my clothes/jewelery shopping for the entire year at this time of year, and the stuff you find on clearance/sale right after halloween.... *grins* even stores like Target are worth checking out after the holiday for clearance goodies.

The boots are really cool. I totally aree with you on shopping at Halloween USA and also there is a store in Howell, MI downtown that has a lot of costumesas well as Wal-Mart. I found some fish net thigh-high stockings with bows on the top at Wal-Mart for about two bucks.

I think they're around $30. There should be a store near me on Woodward and 13 Mile. :-)

<----------Lookit. Do ya see this?

All that glorious green mess falling off of my head, with lime green and silver eyelashes, topped with green lipstick?

I already knows about yer Halloween USA theoriez  .

People always ask where I got the stuff too, I mean, isn't it obvious? There's even a year round costume store right at 15 Mile and Gratiot in the plaza with Star Theatre.

I also make wigs, but keep buying them since college has eaten up about 92% of my time and I can't sit down and dread more than like two dreads because I have too much homework.

I worked at a Halloween USA last year. I spent way too much cash there. But you know it really depends on what you're looking for. Target is really good for home decor (terrible fro costumes and make-up), K-mart has a real nice balence of things, Walmart has the same things every year but a nice makeup selection, Mejiers... well is kind of the crap shoot.

Why does Halloween have to be in October, a month after school starts, when I'm always broke?

The costumes aren't really my thing (too generic and the ones I've tried on were cheaply made and didn't fit right), but I like the extras; shoes, wigs, stockings, petticoats, jewelry, etc.

Hell.....Target is even good pre-clearance. They have some really cool (and reasonably cheap) stuff this year.... they have some planters and hurricane lamp style candle holders that were awesome and affordable, and the tees and pajama pants are always cute and cheap. The mens pajama pants are cooler this year, though. Bonus that theyre only 7 bucks, too. Only thing about Target, is that all too often, by the time they clearance, the best stuff is gone....
