That's not actual TV cable, that's "wire" cable that he was probably going to sell as scrap.

My friend stole cable, and all he got was a note saying they disconnected his feed on his door, and they didn't even disconnect it.

So, we're talking about a few ppounds pr wire...maybe 20 bucks?

Sorry, I'd rather rob a gas station or mug some people than risk my life over TWENTY FUCKING DOLLARS.

This is happening all around Detroit, too. The cable companies and power companies are really trying to stop the theft. Some guy died recently trying to steal copper from a live wire. And not just some scrawny live wire that goes to a house, he was trying to steal it from the between the poles. And, shockingly, he got shocked and died.

Have you ever electrocuted yourself? I've done it once accidentally. You only do it once accidentally. Morons.

They not only steal the wires in detriot for copper, they steal air condioning units, some furnances, and all the water pipes, its super annoying No sonner will we get done with fixing up a house then we will have to refix due to teft of some sort

Although i have the "luxury" of cleaning up the houses after the guys fix em and i am gratefull many times for the bits of scrap copper they dont clean up... makes thsoe days of OMG I am Broke not so Broke and you would be surprised at how much you can get on just a little bit.

Yeah I was talking to my friend Todd about this the other day. They'll steal all the copper in a house just after it's been installed. You have to have people sit and watch the place. I've heard of them going in and stealing the siding off an 80 year old lady's house while she was inside it. They also stole the telco trunk for a mile down Gratiot, hundreds were without phone service.

This is why no one dares use Silver to wire with (better electrical conductor). I also heard that a street in Detroit was real nice with gold inlays back in the 20's or so and they pulled that all up. I just keep thinking "THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS" over and over in my head.

I hate humans.
