TomCat Posted April 12, 2005 Author Posted April 12, 2005 oh no no i don't think it was bout that. i think it was that we are married and not allowed to comment on things of a "single person" nature like dating and how the opposite sex sucks. and not in a good way. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Is right... lol.... I'm commenting anyway! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Is looking for A Detroit Spanking! LOL
Brenda Starrr Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 I'm not scared. However, you should be. :devil
Nienna Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 fiasco eh? It wasn't that bad was it? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Bad dosn't even begin to describe it.. geez...
Guest MsMaldoror Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 OK, Tomcat, I've decided to clone, date, and commit to myself (see topic regarding commitment). Perhaps you should do the same. Cloning seems to be the answer.
Daniel Posted April 13, 2005 Posted April 13, 2005 I wouldn't date myself. Nevermind the fact that I don't have the equipment that I look for in a mate, but I just don't match up with what intrigues me. I suppose there would be a certain amount of interesting chemistry, hanging around with my clone... dangerous, possibly. But, I couldn't ever see that working out, realistically.
Guest MsMaldoror Posted April 13, 2005 Posted April 13, 2005 Don't take my responses too seriously. I don't... I wouldn't date myself. Daniel Posted April 13, 2005 Posted April 13, 2005 Don't take my responses too seriously. I don't... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't take anything too seriously! You're speaking to a man with a My Little Pony avatar!
Nienna Posted April 13, 2005 Posted April 13, 2005 I don't take anything too seriously! You're speaking to a man with a My Little Pony avatar! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's Rainbow Brite.... ahem. :blink And it's kinda an evil Rainbow Brite.. and thus goth, thus serious.. cause you know we're alll so serious.... yeah.

I live by the axiom laid down in the Principia Discordia: GREATER POOP: Are you really serious or what? MAL-2: Sometimes I take humor seriously. Sometimes I take seriousness humorously. Either way it is irrelevant.
TomCat Posted April 13, 2005 Author Posted April 13, 2005 We're all insane. Some of us just medicate better...So There.
Marblez Posted April 13, 2005 Posted April 13, 2005 I love dating. It is just the paying for the dates and the driving for the dates and the waiting for the dates to call back and the wishing they didn't and the telling them that I don't want to date them and the bad kissers and the egos and the liars and the psychos and the....sex is good.

Aralis Posted April 13, 2005 Posted April 13, 2005 I always hated dating....maybe thats why I was always in long relationships. I would jump from one right to another. There was a brief period when I dated and I really disliked it. I felt very alone and did alot of crazy things then that I regret now. It seems like there are so many jerks out there today and theres so much to worry about. Its hard to find decent people that are real. I am glad that I am in a relationship and will be getting married within days. I hated dealing with all that crap. :tear
torn asunder Posted April 13, 2005 Posted April 13, 2005 ...Its hard to find decent people that are real. candidate for understatement of the year... :erm
soothsayer Posted April 13, 2005 Posted April 13, 2005 Its hard to find decent people that are real. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And that my friends is 100% truth. Anyone that thinks todays dating life is a cake walk or fun must have a deep fear of commitment. Either that or they are in denial.
Onyx Posted April 13, 2005 Posted April 13, 2005 argh! This thread is so depressing. I truly believe you can never be content as a part of a couple until you learn to be at least somewhat content alone. There will always be something missing and there will be the tendency to blame that missing element on your partner. You owe it to your future mate and to your own self to grow to your fullest potential, whether in or out of a relationship. There are a lot of advantages to being single, too! You can take off at a moment's notice, eat garlic, watch goofy movies nobody else likes, etc. Sooner or later everyone is alone, some for long periods of time. Nothing is permanent and we will all be separated eventually by death or circumstance. Get to know what YOU like and please only yourself for awhile. Make friends and make plans. A plus is that you'll be involved in activities that you enjoy and might meet someone who enjoys the same things. I happen to think that "opposites attract" saying is baloney. Unless you enjoy doing every single thing by yourself it makes things so much easier to be in a relationship with someone who shares at least *some* interests. Gawd, I sound like such a mommy (but then again I am). :laughing
Onyx Posted April 13, 2005 Posted April 13, 2005 *takes bow* Thank you, thank you. Now if I can just take my own advice :laughing
