Look. Climate change is happening. Whether we are the cause of it, or if we can do anything about it... doesn't matter. What DOES matter, is we can stop burning coal and releasing tons upon tons of mercury and sulphur into the air. What matters is that we can develop technologies that will keep us going as long as the sun shines and the wind blows, regardless of what the tailpipe emissions of cars are doing to us.

Pragmatically, it's good that he won the prize. Realistically, he is a douchebag.
