What characters from books/movies/TV/Theater do you relate to the most?

Just curious... we talked about people's favorite villans, we have talked about peoples favorite tortured hero's.... Now which characters do you find yourself relating to the most? Which ones do you feel an affinity with? Which ones do you have empathy for? etc...

And why you find yourself relating to them as well....

Here are some of mine:

---Dexter, from Jeff Lindsay's Darkly Dreaming Dexter series... I guess the fact that he has to put on his human suit to get through life without being locked up for who he is... I get this, if people actually knew what I thought and felt, and what bizarre stuff went through my mind. I would be locked up for sure. I really relate to having the "Dark Passenger" that needs to be humored at times.

---The Maxx from The Maxx series by Sam Kieth.... The world is surreal and strange bonds form in unlikely places. I don't know sometimes what reality is in the first place, and so yeah... I have emapthy with The Maxx

--- James Cole from Twelve Monkeys directed by Terry Gillium... Everything makes sense to you, then it doesn't, then it makes a new kind of sense, then it doesn't... First you are wrong, then you are right, with a lot of uncomfortable places and people all around at all times. I sympathize with his lack of control and his struggle to deal with what is every shifting around him. After all the whole movie, all he wants is to simply be happy.

Princess Leia. Because I have these weird bun-like objects on the sides of my head and I need help.

Just kidding. This is a good question, and I'm not sure I have an answer. Ponders...

Any protagonist from a novel penned by Murakami Haruki. They handle the weirdest shit with the most fantastic bewildered stoicism.

For all I dislike Dickens, I have to include Pip from 'Great Expectations' here, since I can certainly understand the fact that young Philip needs, for the better part of the book, a good, swift crack upside the head to get him out of his own ideas.

A recent read, Anton Gorodetsky, from the 'Nightwatch' series. He never knows what the fuck is going on, and can never stop wondering what the 'right' thing to do is.

The main character from the anime "GANTZ". He is a total asshole only worried about self-preservation, but really funny about it, also a total pessemest.

Morpheus/Dream from The Sandman comics. He's honor-bound, respectful of his duties and has terrible luck with women. Story of my life in one sentence.
