that looks GOOOOOOOD

I think you should just skip the extensions.

Go with hairfalls if you want to do something, but other then that, I think your hair looks great by itself with the red n black there.

Very nice those colors compliment each other well and your lovely face too!

I LOVE THAT CUT AND COLOR ON YOU!

That said, skip the extensions. I too am a thin / fine haired woman who wants for long lovely tresses. It's not happening. Extensions will only damage your fragile hair and it'll end up thinner than ever. You look great like it is, go with it!

<--- blushing Thanks all for the continued comments.

Yeah, I think I'll need to forego extensions. I just dont' see how in the world they would blend together adequately with my shaggy layers.

I will definitely let my layers grow back out and see how the color works with longer, layered hair. But I don't think extensions will work unless I get a whole-headjob, and I really don't care to go that far.

Also, another rule of thumb: do not try new makeup or hair ideas before going out. I've done that many times and ended up staying home because it turned out disastrous.

Words to live by. I thought I was safe once cause I was just putting blue dye over my black; thought it would give me a nice blue-black sheen. It did, but it also INSTANTLY stained my entire body while rinsing it out in the shower. I stayed home rather than go out as a smurf.

OK, i finally clicked this thread.

Let me just say....

That is DAMN sexy. Couple that with some librarian COMF glasses... I'd follow you around like a puppy.

I love it. You look wonderful.

Because your complection is so pale, id say..... take your eyeliner, and smudge a bunch on your hand, then take a very fine make up brush, and take some of your foundation and mix the two. that will make the filler for your eyebrows less harsh, and eashier to blend. experiment until you get the right look. this may take some time. as for eye shadow... go with something smoky.. start out with black on the lower lid, the go for a lighter grey, and then white along the eyebrow... blend until there are no obvious line in between the three colors.. you could also go with a dark blue color on the lower lid to complement your eye color... with a job or what not (day life), go with a lighter variant of the above... make up for night life is not apropriate when you are an adult, and what to look like one. if you CAN get away with the darker tones, and love them, stick w/ them. Man, i wish that I could stop by and help you.... i love helping ppl with makeup.... anyways.. as for the lips... go with a darker shade of red, or something to complement what you are wearing. like if you happen to have on clothes that have a lighter orange-medium orange tone in it, go with a more orange color lip color... red is best, for night life, esp one that matches that red in your hair...which is beautiful, btw... i hope that this helps in some way...

I don't know what COMF means...

But I actually do have new glasses on order. They're totally rimless, in a very narrow oval lens. I despise myself in glasses, and you will never see a picture of me wearing them if I can help it. But I actually have found that, while I don't exactly like myself in glasses, I like myself in them more with this hair.

GRG - those are some good tips. Thanks very much. I'll mess around with your suggestions.

I actually have been doing some messing around and have come up with a daily look that I like. I switched to a truly red lipstick, and it alone helped massively. No more wine or berry shades, it has to be full on red. And I went to the costume/theater supply and got genuinely red make-up that works excellent as an eyeshadow. Sometimes I add a bit of smokey grey/blue to the brow bone, but not for daily wear.

My eyeliner pencil broke so I have to pick up new (I'm a fanatical loyal user of Revlon's Color Stay). For now, I'm using charcoal shadow with a liner brush or Kohl eyeliner. The Kohl powder irritates my eyes a bit, so I really need to get some more Revlon.

I like the eybrow suggestion the most. I've switched from a dark brown powder fill-in I was using as a blonde to a smoky black. I think maybe trying to mix it with my base color might mute it adequately. Either that or maybe dust pressed powder on top.

I really have to mention - I am loving how shiny this hair is. My blonde has been very dull and lifeless as of late. This black is shiny and healthy looking. I do need to get to the salon and have about 1/4" nipped off the ends because I'm getting some frizzy ends, but otherwise I'm really happy with the condition.

I'm gllad that I could help, and no matter what you do, I think that you will look great! Sometimes, frizzy ends dont show up until you color, so yeah, i think that it was a great idea to get the trim. Like I said, you look great. Oh, and the whole pressed powder thing only works if you use an eye pencil, so keep that in mind. Otherwise, you'll smear what you did... I know, i did that once. it looked funny, esp when i was sweating... =P

Thanks. I haven't laughed this much in a long time.:laugh::laugh::thanks:

Stop squirming. I get you. Though you'll NEVER, NEVER, EVER see me in my rimless glasses, much less hornrims.

Interesting fetish... :whistle::secret:

I am so using COMF sometime in the near future when corresponding with my friends. When they ask what it is and I tell them they will literally laugh out loud, probably snort, too!

I think only boys can say that. :p

Ah fun with extensions!

I had an experience with glue and extensions. It was, erm....something. There was panic involved. And scissors.

Definitely something to leave to people that know what they are doing.

Also, another rule of thumb: do not try new makeup or hair ideas before going out. I've done that many times and ended up staying home because it turned out disastrous.

Lol I remember a time when Chernobyl had hair and wanted red streaks in this said black hair (GAWD I miss black...*sniff* I hate blonde so so so very much, but I guess red is okay on me for now...).

So I glue like six of them with hair glue to the top of my head (like three on either side, starting at my part on top) and voila, insta-badass.

I forgot the goo gone. Let's just say I had three spots on my head that hurt for the next two days that had glue chunks with shock red hair fibers all up in these said chunks.

Gluing = not for professionals, but not for retards that are too lazy to pick up goo gone either

Naw... my friends and I say/type some outlandish stuff to each other just to get a laugh. Doesn't matter if it's more specific to one gender's use or not... we're just craaaaaazy like that! LOL
