Der Nister Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 A friend of mine is having trouble with adobe audition and I thought maybe someone here might be able to help. Here is what he wrote..... i've had endless troublewith adobe audition v2.0. for 3 weeks it's refused to load and gives this message: 420: Audition.exe - Application Error The instruction at "0x06ae10df" referenced memory at "0x06aa0a84". The memory could not be "read". and i've tried un installing & reinstalling more times than i can count. can't find any help for it online either. wouldn't be a big deal if i could load it for mixdown & conversion in another version but the session at best only partially loads in audition v1.5 and tells me most files are on a higher track number than allowed. same shit if i load it in cool edit. and again, no help found online for this prob either. the mix was nearly done back when the prob first happened. if only i could find a way to make 2.0 session files compatable with 1.5 i could finish & post the damned thing! the final possibility i can think of is trying to see if one of the mixing proggies in linux ubuntu studio will do the trick. if not then, i'll just have to start from scratch. i'd have done that long ago but, this mix was so sample laden that it would be a nightmare to attempt to replicate. if i redo i'll probably just do a simple mix w/o samples. but i wanted it to be unique. fuck! anyway, gonna give this last idea a shot. wish me luck! and if you have suggestions, please offer them.
freydis Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Googling got a few hits: try this or could be similar to this? Keep googling, something's bound to work....
Der Nister Posted October 21, 2007 Author Posted October 21, 2007 Thanks munin =) I've never used this program before and I just don't have the time to go through page after page trying to find a solution. That's why I threw the question here in the hope that someone would have some kind of answer.
Gaf The Horse With Tears Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 I would be willing to bet lunch that the file is corrupt.
Falstaff Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 I had a bunch of problems with 2.0 My solution? Go back to 1.5
freydis Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Thanks munin =) I've never used this program before and I just don't have the time to go through page after page trying to find a solution. That's why I threw the question here in the hope that someone would have some kind of answer. Without full details, it's nearly impossible to troubleshoot. Besides, I figured you were simply passing the suggestions on to the friend who needed help, not trying to read through them yourself.
