My aunt lives in the San Jose area far north of this area.

I have never heard of fires this bad,since the oil well fires in Iraq in 1991.

My sister-in-law, her husband, her wife and thier kids live in that area... they have taken in a family of 4 that was evacuated but they may have to evacuate themselves soon.

I have family down there, and really w/ the Santa Anna winds this happens every year, not to this degree but that doesn't take away from the fact it happens at all is bad for the people living there

They are thinking now it was at least partially due due to arson......and K wants to move there if the new buis takes off......I hope not.

The FBI put out an alert some months ago that a captured al Qaeda operative, during interrogation, revealed a plot to start major wild fires in the western USA to drain our resources and crush our spirit... it went mostly un-noticed or ignored.
