jadnifer Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 What is the best eyeliner for the financially impaired?? I have been using NYC for awhile but I have noticed that its VERY soft and breaks VERY easily. Anyone have some good suggestions??
Fierce Critter Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 I swear by Revlon Colorstay. It comes in a pencil form that screws up like lipstick, with a built-in sharpener. It goes on velvety, has room for blending/smudging, and then STAYS PUT. About $7.00 maybe?
jadnifer Posted October 26, 2007 Author Posted October 26, 2007 Thats great that it stays put because the kind that I get...smears after dancing for awhile $7 really isnt all that bad for a good eyeliner. Thanks!
Nienna Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 Heh.. and like the other post, I must again HIGHLY endorse Line N'Seal from CVS. Lots of colors, lasts a long time, goes on well and is AMAZING. I can put this on in the morning, go to work, drive across the state, party, have sex, sleep and wake up with perfect eyeliner. NO LIE! LOL
jadnifer Posted October 26, 2007 Author Posted October 26, 2007 Sounds like the perfect eyeliner for me!!
freydis Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 Theres a really cheap one Avon does, and i cant remember what its called, but its awesome. I dont even know if they make it anymore, tho..... ill have to ask violentivy.....
livininxtcgoth Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 i'm all about hot topic eyeliner... its $1.99 a stick i usually buy about 3 at a time and they'll last me a good 6-8 weeks (however i wear makeup EVERY day and often do touch ups several times a day for certain events and when i have shows i'll re-do makeup in between every scene... so i guess 3 stick should last most people about 8-10 weeks...) i think its great. smudges just the right amount, stays on pretty good, nice deep dark color that goes on very nicely.
jcheeka Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 Mac fluidline is around 14 dollars which I know is kind of expensive but it works really good and doesnt come off until you take it off. One pot seems to last a long time. I dont use it every day but I have been using it to make my daughters cat nose and whiskers for costume and it doesnt seem to be going down much.

Never use pencils, they're horrible for doing eyes. The only thing I've ever used pencil eyeliner for is drawing on my eyebrows.

The Revlon Colorstay has the benefit of also being waterproof and almost totally smudgeproof. I haven't found a pencil or liquid that surpasses it in durability.
