Im starting @ noon today (wednesday) and ending at noon (thursday) so I need a couple movies to get me through the night. I have all the movies I could possibly need but im just wondering, what movies would you watch in a giant halloween horror marathon? Im a fan of old and new horror (depending) so throw all your opinions out there

My first movie was/is the original texas chainsaw massacre.

Um, the title looks, um, that movie looks just plain bad.

Here's a suggestion

4-Rosemary's Baby (1968)

3-Shaun of the Dead (2004)

2-King Kong (1933)

1-Psycho (1960)

Now here's the thing. A lot of it depends on what KIND horror you like.

Splatterfests or Thrillers.

And by the level of the scare factor (King Kong???)

Many of these aren't the scariest, just the best made, in their opinion

Freaks isn't even scary until the end (although it does kick major ass)

And anyone that places Evil Dead above the greatest Horror Comedy of all time Evil Dead 2 is a f&^*ing moron.

Nosferatu is great.

So is Rosemary's Baby (though they're a little tame)

The Shining's a good one.

Suspiria would be a safe bet The trailer has one of the best lines ever (The Only Thing More Terrifying Than The Last 12 Minutes Of This Film...

Are The First 92.) And the music's awesome!

Scary movies, hmm, anything with Paris Hilton would be frigtheningly painful to watch.

it comes from toxie's top ten. Candy bought it, they are the most terribly great movies ever! including the classic "Space Zombie Bingo".

How the original Black Christmas didn't make that list....yech.

Anyhow, can't go wrong with Friday the 13th 1-4, Psycho, Vertigo, Evil Dead, Happy Birthday to Me, The Prowler.

this is a list of the greatest horror movies of all time not greatest horror/comedy movies so of course evil dead would take the lead over dead by dawn because the first movie was meant only to be horror (and dont get me wrong Im not bashing you dead by dawn happens to be my favorite movie of all time)

      About to head up to Roseville to return this rental and pick up my truck from the auto shop.  It is supposedly sporting a newly fabricated frame rail...I don't think they are referred to as "chassis" anymore as I see the confusion in shop owner's eyes when they ask me if I'm looking for "body work?".   But I do find it interesting that I told the owner that I worked direct with OEM parts and yet he still wrote me up an invoice with overpriced OEM parts from companies I used to host at the place I used to work for.  With that said, I'm expecting a stellar job for the amount I paid.   ...else, there will be some talk negotiations.

      ~~~~~ Definitely wishing you luck.  Do enjoy yourselves.   But I have to admit, the first thing that came to mind was does roadside assistance reach the desert? 😬
      ~~~~~ Yeah, it's like something happened to my metabolism this past Winter and when I came out of hibernation, that AARP Join Request started looking like something to check into.

      This 👆 definitely goes with what I said in my other post - getting old sucks. Seems like *everything* takes longer and takes more energy out of me than it used to. Really need to work on my diet and exercise, I've found the older I get, the more important those things have really become...
