I have a bit of an issue with this. He was a convicted sex offender but even after watching the news tonight, nowhere did it say he was a pedophile. Actually if you get caught taking a piss in public, you can be labelled and convicted of said offense. And yes it is true, dumb but true. However he did serve his time and as much as I hate violence against women and children, I cannot justify this as a good thing. Even if he had attacked my niece, yes I would kill him but it doesn't make it right. Just my 2 cents, ignore and continue.

If that's true, depending on how old she was I'd hardly call him a monster. It annoys me that young adults who have underage partners are lumped in the "sex offender" category along with people who rape little children. Not saying that it's RIGHT to have sex with a 15 year old, but yeesh.

I never could figure out why these ppl were ever on the list especially since they both agreed to have sex with each other.that list needs to be only for child molesters (major loophole there)

The asshole lawmaker that decided to make it a sex offence for pissing behind a building or tree should have gotten a bullet in the head,pissing behind a building,bar) at 3 am has nothing to do with kids.

people who prey on kids are the ones that need to be gotten rid of.the only cure for a child molester is "death"by gunshot to the head or other means.prison is too good for human scum like this.

Says that the victim was between 13 and 16, he was 18 at the time, and if she was 16 that's a TWO YEAR difference (comparing it with some that I know have spanned ten years or more). Though it didn't say if it was statutory or not.

Also very true, that's what happened to Tommy who used to work at Mephisto's. Being on that list is worse than being a regular felon and possibly worse than being labeled a terrorist. What's really sad is no one checked into the circumstances or cause, he might have just gotten stabbed just because he was on the list. Might have been a mixed blessing for him since his life was effectively over anyway. What people forget is that they still have rights, and just because they screw up once doesn't mean they'll do it again.

Now if it really was rape even if she was 16 and it was by someone who knew the circumstances (like a family member) then he deserved what he got. But I refuse to judge him until I have all the facts. At this point he's just an unfortunate murder victim killed by a judgemental/scared/stupid member of society.

They definately need to revamp the list just like society needs to be revamped,like SG said,(judgemental/scared/stupid member of society.and of corse the media is so good at purposly apreading wrong information.
