What To Go Pick Up

I got some extra cash (finally got paid for that landscaping job) And I figure....why not go pick up a few new CD's. I am probably going to buy some death rock type stuff since im lacking and Necromanta got me hooked about a month or 2 ago (and ive been in that mood for a couple days). But i listen to all the industrial/ebm/synth as well. I also listen to a ton of hardcore (converge/locust/bleeding through, that kinda stuff).

So....what should I go get? The CD Store I go to will probably have what you post (even deadbeat and joey's stuff :p)

have at it! I can get about 5 disks with the money I got.

If you want some good deathrocky stuff pick up Deadchovsky's new album, or Funeral Crashers new album. Maybe pick up some Phantom Limbs if you want some crazy keyboard laden stuff.

But I highly recommend getting AND DID THOSE FEET, The Dancing Did's album that was recently re-issued on CD.

If you're open to something a little outside the box from your expressed interests, try Gogol Bordello.

Albums:

Gypsy Punks

Multi Kontra Culti

Super Taranta!

A lot of fun, they are.

I always try to get people into Suicide (First Album)

It influenced so many bands and yet it's kinda obscure.

70s Punk/Post punk/Electronic/Goth/minimalist/psychobilly/garage

Listen to the song Frankie Teardrop at midnight or when it's cold and you're feeling anxious. It will freak you out

Kind of obscure, Suicide? I thought they were about as known as most CBGBs bands. But you are probably right. Hell yeah is Frankie Teardrop ever the eeriest song ever recorded!

I hear you, but look at other CBGB bands like Talking Heads and Blondie.

Platinum f&^%ing albums!

Suicide is but a footnote in rock history compared to them, even though they were more innovative (imo)

Anyway, before I kill this thread, I'll stop.
