LadyWolf Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 Saw the poster yesterday. Read a bit today. Found out that Charlize Theron's going to play Aeon...wtf? blah blah. Ugh, you know they're gonna turn it into Lara Croft meets Barbarella. The unfeeling, abstractness of the shows just will not port to Hollywood format.
Daevion Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 when does this come out anyway? hmm...not much to look at on they're main site.
LadyWolf Posted April 12, 2005 Author Posted April 12, 2005 A release date for the U.S. has not been announced yet September, 2005. (estimated)
DarkChylde Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 I remember watching the animated series on mtv late at night from waaay back in the 90's.
Daevion Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 IT was such a great series, its too bad I haven't seen it on anymore....Does anyone know if they still play this on cable?
Jarodaka Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 IT was such a great series, its too bad I haven't seen it on anymore....Does anyone know if they still play this on cable? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You might be able to catch it on MTV2 late at night sometime. I have Aeon Flux:Pilot -- which is all you really need since it has the original shorts on it -- on VHS. Now I just need a VCR so I can watch it.
TomCat Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 The series was great, but couldn't they Get Angelina Jolie or Brenda to play it?
Shade Everdark Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 The very idea that they are doing a live-action movie for this disappoints me more than words can express. This should never even have been considered. I'm going to go now, and pretend I have never heard about this.

Fierce Critter Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 Having just watched the DVD, I'm surprised to say I actually enjoyed it. I really like the animated version. But I liked the movie version, too. I thought they did an excellent job of taking a somewhat non-linear story and making it consistent for a movie plot. The ending was a little too warm & fuzzy for me, but I wouldn't mind sequels. I forget his name, but the writer of the animated version appears on the "making of" featurette and seemed to much approve of the movie version. And Charleze Theron, whom I had much hesitation over, I thought did a good job.
