Homicidalheathen Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Yah cause my friends are lame. Not enough snow yet but yah at like that 13 mile and John r hill or stoney My sled is crying to get out.
Winter Steele Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 So is Mine I have one that been with me since the dawn of time LOL
nilhil_glory Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 downriver kids... woodhaven hill ... on the first major snow... my sled is an inflatible raft pulled by my sib ^^
Destroit Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 I <3 the hill right next to the cop shop in Madison Heights (13 & John R). It's actually just a landfill that they filled in, but my goodness what speed you get. Personally I was going to build a snowpimp. Not a snowman...a snowpimp. The normal kind are so boring and I couldn't think of anything else that was creative (well...lack of creative kinda too )
CandyQuackenbush Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 For some reason... Goths and sleds sounds alittle um, odd? Sharp metal sleds and nice white wrists... Heheheh gotta love it.

I never even thought of that...all the goth people on this board, one sled hill, same time and date. DGN might even make the 10 o' clock news! We should pick a day...

Fierce Critter Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 downriver kids...woodhaven hill ... on the first major snow... my sled is an inflatible raft pulled by my sib ^^ That hill is AWESOME. My husband went out by himself one day and snowboarded until he almost passed out. I hadn't been on a sled since childhood before I went on that hill in about 2000. Haven't been since. I sold off all my winter coats/jackets when I lived in North Carolina for a few years. I'm having trouble replacing them. Whether I go or not this year will depend on whether I can find outerwear.
Fierce Critter Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 By the way, sledding is one activity where you benefit from being fat. :D The heavier you are, the faster you plummet down the hill. :D
Hellion Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Its even more fun when theres a hard ice crust on the snow,"heh heh he He said crust, heh heh heh " that way you get more speed!
Msterbeau Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 By the way, sledding is one activity where you benefit from being fat. :D The heavier you are, the faster you plummet down the hill. :D Plus you haz more cushionz for da bumpz. :-)
nilhil_glory Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 when i was little i used to hose down my driveway with water from squirt guns so my whole drive way would be coverd in ice me and my freinds would line up garbage cans at the bottom of the drive way and wed play human bowling
Homicidalheathen Posted November 27, 2007 Author Posted November 27, 2007 What......the......fu......./ Are you a cave man or sumpin'? My sleds better. WAAAY better. And I am taking my dog and putting him on one this year....but not a steap hill this should be cute he wants to do everything I do. So is Mine I have one that been with me since the dawn of time LOL
Homicidalheathen Posted November 27, 2007 Author Posted November 27, 2007 I have inadvertently played bowling for children at Stoney. I was on a saucer....you can't steer those things....and they wouldn't move. They just kinda went popping into the air in every direction when I hit them at the bottom. when i was little i used to hose down my driveway with water from squirt guns so my whole drive way would be coverd in ice me and my freinds would line up garbage cans at the bottom of the drive way and wed play human bowling

The kids just come up and block the way and the parents do shit. Guess the kids learn the hard way....
nilhil_glory Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 .... i would purposly aim for the kids... thats just me ^^
hunhee Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 By the way, sledding is one activity where you benefit from being fat. :D The heavier you are, the faster you plummet down the hill. :D actually that's a misconception... gravity pulls you at 9.8s/s which pulls something lighter at the same rate, so really in essence you're being pulled the same..the only thing fat has going against it for speed is the lack of aerodynamics (or drag). So what i'm saying is.. if you drop a pen and a bowling ball from the same height, they will both fall at the same rate, has nothing to do with weight. Sorry.. just wanted to correct the physics.. continue.. xD I love sledding, but i get so cold so quickly, anymore, that it just wouldn't be enjoyable for me.. *sniffles*

And I would shoot all the way down the hill almost to the fence boundary, and he'd inevitably stop somewhere very near the bottom of the hill and go no further. I guess I'm going to claim Bumblebee physics here. :D
Gaf The Horse With Tears Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 You all need one of these and even though I am in florida.... i want one
jadnifer Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 I love sledding! We SO need to plan a day to do this!

Shade Everdark Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 It just wouldn't be the same without using the UW cafeteria trays.
Burrich1 Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 It just wouldn't be the same without using the UW cafeteria trays. I work for a school. I could hook you up with some trays....

EDIT: oh, I guess I should read on before replying.. Like Nihil said .. basically takes more energy to stop someone with more mass/weight than someone with less, going at said same speed... Otherwise, the Olympic luge teams would be a group of people with good girth
