Say you become lovers... and then for whatever reason you break up... if you had physical sexual contact of any kind... you can press charges. Her only chance of defense is if she could somehow prove it was consensual in the eyes of the court and that she did not in someway influence your decision.

Age shouldn't matter as far as love. However, you are young and might think you love her, do you know for sure ? My husband and I have been together for 16 years. It has not been easy, and I was in high school at the time and he is 7 years older than me. We do love each other however, there has been problems both our faults. Life is complicated, give love time, thought,and consideration.

I know now... phssht.. it is the age thing..... i have a pending charge, and if someone doesn't like me for some reason.... 4 years is too many, when you are over 18, and your "lover" is not. and if someone wants to press charges for doing their daughter, or a neighbor or anyone, i will automatically go to jail for 5 years... that was the stipulation on the pending charge.... and I also don't want to take the chance of ruining a great friendship. so yeah, its complicated.

but it often does matter because its significant of stages in life and experiences collected. sure there are exceptions and as you get older in general age differences diminish in terms of workability.....but in younger years you only have X amount of knowledge......
