Painful! I couldn't really tell if it hit his shoulder totally or hit the ground near them at first- you can sort of make out a splatter of something if you look close enough -bad picture- but none the less...

hard to tell what the heck happened. Although it seems odd now the reaction from everyone in the frame seems fairly calm , compared to what i'd expect when somone fires a random seemingling unprovoked shot (at the ground?)

I don't know if he might have been fighting the cop trying to handcuff him or what - like I said its a bad picture... But he starts moving around a bit after that - I can't tell if he's in pain or just plain pissed off - should have been a couple seconds longer so we'd get the full story

Accidental discharge.

She seemed to be starting to put her gun away when it went off. Now, why it went off, I think is going to be the whole of the investigation into that. Squeeze, heat cooked bullet, etc.

I hope the guy wasn't hit--he certainly didn't deserve it...

That's got to be an awful situation to be in, I suppose mostly for the guy on the ground. I saw FOX news imprints on that, it might mean there's some sort of cover story about what happened somewhere--or maybe at least a press release from the PD. Any citizen watching that is going to be worried.

Accidental or no, as a citizen if I am ever arrested and then shot at by a police officer while I'm currently in their care (and I am if I'm locked down.) It would worry the Hell out of me.

We got it off of the Alberta Metal site originally, someone there got it from this putfile.com site and since someone had to upload it on there - I can't tell how old it is to even go back and try to find some sort of archived news having to deal with "accidental discharges" in Las Vegas (via google). The sites that I did happen upon that did have archives, only went back for the past week. But if anyone eles happens upon some info... Do share - Sorry! :doh
